I just up my scores as Zelda against my brothers-- they always use Link and ROB.
Got addicted enough to beat them even if they've already been playing it for a year. ![]()

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
I found the emissary to be one of the most enjoyable parts. The cutscenes were awesome and it had a good story(for a game that's focused so very much on the multiplayer aspects). After beating it i found the most boring part trying to clear all the challenges.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
Brawl was boring during Subspace Emissary and became better afterwards.

Brawl was fun for the first 15 minutes after the purchase.
After that it's a boring ♥♥♥♥ty game.

Secondly, I guess fighting games like Super Smash Bros. aren't for you if you don't enjoy hooking up with a friend on Wi-Fi, choosing from a roster of over 35 playable characters, adjusting settings to countless items, and playing on over 40 brand-new stages. Also, I guess that, after Subspace Emissary, you passed by Coin Launcher, Adventure mode, Classic mode, All-Star mode, Boss Battles, Multi-Man Brawl, Target Smash, Stage Builder, Home-Run Contest, Trophies, Stickers, Events (and Co-op events), Challenges, Masterpieces, and the rest that was thrown in the game for your own entertainment through replay value. What I'm getting at here is this: Brawl is a huge game, packed with things that were supposed to do the opposite of how you're feeling about them. So in conclusion, it just sucks to be you. Sure, the game gets old just like all games do after a while, but it hasn't lost its charm in my opinion.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
I did the Subspace Emissary four times (several reasons) I'm pretty sick of SSE. But I'm still playing Brawl and I've had it since it came out in England. Brawl's awesome, and I'm definatly not bored of it. If you got Brawl just for the SSE, then Smash Bros. isn't your game.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
Ya, the SSE was only a side mode, and I found it to be quite tedious and just unrewarding. The only reason I played through it was for the cutscenes and the story.
Where Brawl really shines for me is in its multiplayer mode. playing with friends and learning new tactics and combos is what keeps the game alive for me. Pretty much everything about the game is awesome. The stage builder, the events, the snapshot feature, the replay feature, and the roster was too awesome. I was so happy when we first found out that sonic was in ![]() There was so much hype for the game and it exceeded my expectations.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
Brawl is ALWAYS fun if you're not playing alone (local). Seriously, I dunno how the fun could die out. Me and my younger bro always play it.
When playing alone, then yeah, it does get boring.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
And people wondered why I said I did not care one bit about SSE prior to Brawl's launch. This thread is the answer.
I burned through SSE over a couple days just to unlock characters. Once it was over, I never looked back. I love the multiplayer aspect. Learning characters and thrashing friends is what it's all about. Personally, I think the next smash should have no single player modes. It would save a lot on the budget and leave room for more/better characters. |

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary
I do not like the ammount of Event Matches in Brawl compared to the amount in Melee
