Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary

tell you the truth, it depends.
i was playing SSBB myself the whole time, i am finished with the whole game itself but i still need to unlock one more character and still need to unlock more challenges, but to say overall.
i thought i was cool, but the subspace emissary was boring.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary

I liked it. The cutscenes were cool and it was pretty fun for a 2D Brawler. I especially liked the bosses, given that I love 2D action games. The Sticker function was also neat.

And as Abyss said, it's far less tedious unlocking everything that way than going through Adventure in Melee some 20+ times. Subspace at least has some replay merit as well, what between the different difficulty settings and the co-op, which when used together can be cool for a while.

But yes, the real fun in Brawl comes in the endless game modes, challenges and of course the actual fighting. Subspace is just a tiny little part of the game.

Ummmmm, i'm gussing you don't have many friends to play, at home or on wifi.

SSE was axctually the most boring part, but fun just to get the unlockables. Going through the challanges, unlocking all the trophies and unlockible content, and playing on wifi is where the game gets it's best replay value.

Well, yeah, it's the fastest way to unlock all the characters, unless you were like me and simply brawled your eye sockets out with others to unlock most of the roster (which is a slow way to go about it, anyway). =/
You can unlock all the characters in about 2 hours without doing SSE. I'd like to see someone fully clear the SSE in 2 hours...

I hated the SSE it was boring as hell.

Ouch. That really hits me where I live.

I play brawl when ever friends or my girlfriend's friends come over, so its not really that boring. I don't even touch TP though.

I loved The Subspace Emissary, and finished it three times. Also, the cutscenes rocked

There are so many things to do in Brawl, it's impossible to get bored with it. Have you been playing any games at all, EzloSpirit? Maybe you're just a bit tired of games in general.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary

^ I also loved the Subspace Emissary and left many stones unturned after I beat it the first time. After subspace I found myself wanting to play other games because it felt like I beat the game and there was nothing left to do. However, the game actually just begins after subspace.

SSB (any af them) isn't really type of game where you play it frequently. It more the type where you go "hey I haven't played this in a month and stick it in for 3 hours". Thats basically how all fighters are.

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary

Well I do think Subspace is the best part of the game for me, I can't stand doing anything else on Brawl by myself. The CPU is too easy!

But whenever someone wants to play, I put it straight on. I love playing with other people on Brawl.

That's not even remotely true. Brawl, like any fighter, has as large competitive field just as all competitive multiplayer games do. In fact I'd readily argue that the competitive communities for Fighting games are the most enthusiastic of any genre.

I've kinda been like that these months. It's not that it gets tiring, I just have other games to play... lol

Re: SSBB Boring after Subspace Emissary

I guess I'm kinda the only one who agrees with EzloSpirit.

I just recently beat the Subspace mode, and some things kinda got a tad bit boring afterwards. Now I'm focusing on unlocking everything but once I do all of that, I can see the game getting very boring afterwards.

Thats why you get friends for online matchups and such. That's when the game really gets fun.

No it won't be fun.

Here's why.

I have trouble alone battling NPCs. Even Boss Battles on easy is hard for me, and I still have yet to complete it.

Now if I have trouble with NPCs, imagine what I would be like against real players. I would be totally creamed out there. I also don't even use shields, which automatically classifies me as the world's worst player ever.

You should not be playing any Fighting game, ever, in that case.
