Game maker zelda games

do you use game maker well guess what? ... they are spinoffs as well so i devote this thread to creative GM games

Every single Zelda game maker game I've played was bad, or just a demo of a game that never got finished.

i disagree there has been some wonderful zelda fangames coming out the last few years, who cares if they never get finished. it would be nice in alot of the cases when some one does alot of excellent work then for example pretends to be in a car accident and die (or whatever it was that kid did with the OoT 2d)

i love playing these games you really get to see some of the talent that these zelda fans and long time gamers have within themselfs and it allows alot of people to put there on spin on a story which otherwise mere fans like ourselfs would never have the privlidge to work on with Nintendo. not to mention i bet some of these kids have plans to become something within the gaming industry, and even if they never make it as big time producers or creaters like the great shigeru miyamoto, but im am happy that people have a means to create something they love that they themselfs or others such as myself can enjoy, even if its only one dungeon because the maker gave up!

hell i was i was half as good at creating games as some of the game makers out there right now, at least then i could create my own zelda world and storylines (a habit which i quite enjoy but have no means to explore)

keep doing your thing game makers and ill keep playing them. love all your work

This has to be the most incredible fangame I've ever seen, it's still in the making and there are 2 demos, as well as some videos.

Looks good. I'll try it, though I'd take ALttP graphics over Minish Cap ones any day. Still, it's like I said: it has demos, but there's no guarantee it'll ever get released, and if I can judge from other ambitious fan-made Zelda games (including ZU's very own Showers of Light - anyone remember that one?), a final version will never see the light of day.

the shadowgazer has been in the making for three years now, id say theres going to be a pretty decent demo at least. def one of the best fangames out right now. the towns and people are very well done and hes nailed the zelda theme and music spot on.

It's still in the making, and just look at the trailers, it's very near from being complete.

I've been using Game Maker for a few years now, and my first "real" game was a Zelda fan game. It sucked hard, though. Then later I started making a platform-styled Zelda game, which was much better, but it was full of glitches.
Now I'm making Metroid fan games instead.

All other fan games I have played have been bad, though; except maybe a 3D demo someone made. It looked really good, but never got past the "walk around and do nothing while looking at the nice graphics" stage.
