Srsly. I think people would have at least used him more. The new physics would have changed his play style, and maybe some attack changes.

For the record, Ike WAS used in tournaments. It's just that people never won with him.

People that probably weren't good with him then. I bet Kishiro can win as many tournaments as he wants because his Ike is beast.

There are alot of ike users out there. He has to many flaws to be top tier.

I agree. Ike can never be top tier. I think he can be up to high-mid. That's it.

We need more opinions on which characters should be placed higher. Hell, just erase the last two tier rankings and shove the characters in which occupy those rankings on up.

Kishiro wouldn't win a tourny with Ike. I wouldn't win a tourny with Ike. I highly doubt any of us here are good enough to win a tourny at that level.

Ike's good and all, but yeah, he's mid-level. There's a good deal of lag to his attacks and he's fairly slow. Maybe one of the lower guys for high-tier, but that would be it.

I will win a tourney with Ike someday. The key to him is timing, like I said before. Winning a tourney with Ike is now one of my goals.

Jeff: Yeah, that's about right. Ike is an awesome guy to play as, but he could have been better. With the edits I have in mind for him, he should be better.

see, that's what I mean. Timing is something you have to learn in order to be good at any fighting game.

That isn't THE key to learning Ike. Ikes main tools are his reach an priority. Its really all he has.

...you really have no idea how low your and all of our skill levels are compared to the best Smashers in the world, do you?

The most you can ever hope for is to win some scrub tournaments in a year or so. :/

Ike involves timing while Luigi mainly involves aerials, Green Missile, and Fire Jump Punching, though fireballs are good counters for some attacks, such as Ike's Quick Draw.

Luigi may be better than he was in Melee, but he is highly outclassed by many top tiers and some high tiers. He has a quick and strong Fsmash and has decent air combos, but his lack of range really hurts him. Ike is a punching bag. I would not be surprised if he went down to Low Tier.

The American list is really what we should focus on. The Japanese metagame is interesting, but their playstyle is easily countered by ours. My predictions for tier list changes would be lowering Pit to mid tier, raising Peach to bottom of high tier/top of mid tier, and raising Mario to Mid tier.

But there's a fine line.

Due to just how fine it is, it's fairly easy to slip over it every once in a while. I'm sure Ranil's not going to cry when someone tells her the harsh truth, even if it does cross some hypothetical line that somehow connects to how nice a person I am, or something. xP
