Do you guys make the sigs or...

Do you guys who make the sigs make them or do you go online and look for them

The pictures are collected from the internet, or other sources, but the sig itself is made by the sig maker. Such as my sig for example. It's a WW picture, just heavily modified by me.

Hmpf, so rude! Of course we make them ourselves. We get picturs to work with in almost eveyr cases, btu we still put together it all into nice siggies. I don't think nyone among oru siggymakes "look them up on the net", that would be cheating..

Yeah, everyone here makes their own stuff, generally starting out with a few base images and then modifying them, adding text, effects, resizing, etc.. There have been some cases of signature and avatar theft in the past, but generally it isn't done by signature makers with shops.

It's not hard per se, but at times getting things like composition right can be tough, as well as certain effects. Generally, the more experience you have, the easier it is to do more advanced things, though.

How do you know when you got the sig and how long does it usaly take to get it

it really depends on what the person wants on the sig, if you think you've fullfilled the needs then you're done, some though don't finish until they have the best that they can make with those pictures/restrictions, and as how long, it depends on the sig and if you know what you're going to do on it, for example the sig I have right now too me only about 5 mins of experimenting with defferent tools and effects to make

You 'know' when your sig is ready when the sig maker posts it in their thread, after you request it. That is, unless you make it yourself... then it's up to you when it's 'ready.'

Isn't it true that some programs are much more complicated than others? Ritowarrior, that can also determine the graphix and such, just though I'd say.

EditO- also, one more thing, if sig'makers' were theifts, all of them, and they went online to searchor for just what the request is loking for, then, there would never be any images, at all.

I understand that you're only replying to the last thing someone said, but I suggest you put more thought into your posts, 5 word posts are... pretty pointless, anywas, what Tsuni said is completely true, if someone requested something especifid (which most ppl do) it'd be impossible almost to find it on the net, ah, also making sigs CAN be challenging, and a lot of the time that's caused by the equipment, some programs just make better graphics, the most popularly used one is Photoshop of course, and I'm pretty sure most >not all but most< have it.

That really depends on the maker. If they want to do a super-spiffy job, then it maybe hard. If its a simple copy+paste job, with some text, I wouldn't qualify it for effort.
Sometimes, it just depends. It depends if they're devoted to the work, or not =D

How do you know when you got the sig and how long does it usaly take to get it

The first one is quite obvious, but the other one depends if the maker is fast, or not. It also depends quality wise. I say: Quality, not quantity.

And some people use Paint Shop Pro, and some use Photoshop. Myself, prefer Photoshop, as I'm am used to it, after around 2 years of using it =D
