I would like to point out something to everyone. Chit-chat in threads. This includes welcoming someone to the sig shop business. Please refrain from posting a post saying anything like this: "Hey, I hope your shop does well, good luck." Those are spam in my eyes, and will be treated as such.

For all the Signature Shop owners out there who use the [IMG] tags with the stars, it's getting annoying, so I'll show you how to correctly use the tag without having to manually edit it.

Type the code in like this: [noparse][IMG]http://www.whatever.com/image.jpg[/IMG][/noparse]

The no parse code will tell the vB code not to activate inside the tags.

Seeing as Mercutio has not been on ZU for three years, I'll answer that one for him.

A decent amount of time, in my opinion, is around three weeksish and more.
I mean, someone has gone out of their way to create a sig and avy for for you, the least you can do now after demanding images ffrom them is to display them and respect their efforts for a while.
You're better off asking the sig creator themselves though, what a decent time is, as no doubtedly, each one will have a different opinion.

once I get to where I can make threads I'll start up the Vaati's Avatar and Sig Shop of INSANITY it pays to have friends on other forums even if it costs me a few coins to have someone edit a sig/avatar and I should mention to me saying that I'm insane is like saying that I'm doing a great job

I have been waiting for a sig for a while, so I went to his page to see if there was any info on there, but it turns out he hasn't been on ZU since June 23. what do I do?

Do not do thread revival.

And I suggest you to tell the sig maker that you're still alive, if you are waiting for it for a pretty long time. If he/she is so busy, or closed his/her shop, then you can cancel your request, and choose another shop.
