~DarkFire's Classic Banner Contest Rules and Entry~

This was approved by Lioness under several conditions, all of which are to be explained here.

Prizes

First Place:
I will advertise your banner shop in my signature for ONE MONTH
You will recieve an underbanner saying you won the contest

Second/Third:
You will recieve an underbanner saying that you placed in the competition

All others will not recieve a prize, but thanks for competing.

Rules:

All banners may NOT include any explicit/pornographic/violent material. The best judgement here is the old saying "If in doubt, leave it out."

All banners in the competition will be PMed to me, for prevention of cheating and foul play.

All banners must be AT LEAST 375x90 pixels in size, and AT MAX 400x150 pixels.

Banners may be made in any graphics program but must be YOUR OWN CREATION, NO COPYING IS ALLOWED!

Banners will be of a certain theme decided by me in each competition "round".

All who enter the competition must participate until the end!

I will set up a bracket to display who faces who. All banners will be displayed as "banner A" vs. "Banner B" as opposed to "DarkFire vs. Lioness", for example. This is to prevent biased voting.

I will be hosting all the banners on a hidden PhotoBucket account, so you will not be able to change your banners once you PM them to me.

The theme of the banners will be PMed to the competitors with a ONE WEEK deadline. If they do not PM the banner back to me, or it fails to meet the requirements stated above and is not fixed or edited by the deadline, the competitor who doesn't follow through will be disqulified.

Voting

All voting WILL NOT be in polls, but rather by posts. This is because, instead of having someone say "DarkFire's looks cool" they will say "DarkFire, I like the background of your image and the effects you used to make the border"

When voting, you are to say WHY you voted for a banner. Please be more specific than "it looks good", but explain WHY you like it, as stated above.

You may only vote ONCE.

The only posts you are to put in the voting threads are votes, please do not put a post like the following:

"DarkFire's or Lioness's.. I can't decide. They are both so good. I can't pick. Maybe in a while I will. I dunno"

You MAY NOT vote for yourself.

Do NOT post if you are undecided on who to vote for.

Entering the Contest
If you wish to enter the contest, you must post that you are going to in this thread. By posting, you have agreed to 100% all the terms stated above, and you will compete until the end of the contest!

The contest will start either ON November First, Pacific Time, OR WHEN WE HAVE 12 COMPETITORS, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST.

anyways.. so its basically a sig contest? since 400 x 150 isnt really a banner.. its more then a sig.

Yes, they have. We could start, but, ya know, I want 12 people in, so that three are in the final round, and then it is easier to define second and third place.
