And to be specific:
My mother was molested by her sister's fiancée.
My friend was molested by a neighbor boy.
My sister was touched as a baby.

That sister one...umm...I don't mean to be insensitive, I just don't exactly
get what you mean. Toddler? Baby as in really really young? ^^ I'm a bit clueless currently.
As a guy, I think I can relate to this more from the "molester's" point of view, than the women's. Depending on the definition of "sexual abuse", that could be a reasonable statistic --- but, as was asked in the beginning of the thread, where exactly did the research come from? It would be interesting to see how large their sample space was, etc. etc.
Umm...Radek...

However, arguing that women cannot beat up men is ridiculous.

Well I wasn't arguing that.

I find this slightly...confusing, Radek. Because...

One girl cannot stop one man from raping her, she is not physically able to do so.

I wish I could care. If I come off as sexist, then deal with it. I just say it how it is. And last time I checked, I was defending women's inability to defend themselves against men.

Isn't there a
slight contradiction here? Yes, I may admit that I've taken your first post on this thread to illustrate the general theme of your argument, but you've pretty much outright made a declaration that a female is helpless against a male...
...and on that note, this is SD, isn't it? Aren't we not supposed to be making generalisations that cannot hold, anyway? Else, or arguments would be fallacious?
*sigh* And this topic was getting
so interesting, too...

PPS (edit) I think Evilsbane is about to slaughter me...
PPPS: Oh. Will you look at that? I wasn't slaughtered after all...
