I completely understand. but I personally knew some older douchebags when I was in high school who would rent a car just for the hell of it and drive around like douchebags.

and how's the rental company gonna know if it really was for a vacation or for general douche-baggery?

I don't want to be a hypocritical mod. I've got a reputation to think about

Sometimes I really don't like what the fabric of American society forces the government to do (I maybe wrong, but that's where I stand). I do think that lowering the drinking age to 18 would be the most reasonable solution to drinking age (in terms of when adulthood is seen to begin in the eyes of American society), but I personally wouldn't mind if the drinking age didn't even exist at all, and you could drink at any age you want. I know that there would probably be more accidents at first, but I would imagine that hopefully I'm average in terms of intelligence and judgement. I don't think I will drink too much as an adult, since for some reason, the smell of beer has pissed all over my curiosity of trying alcohol. And, knowing that it's bad for you from 2nd hand experience (which I think would be seeing someone drunk, smelling terrible, and how cranky my parents are when they get a hangover on Sunday morning), no way, not if I can avoid it.

It would be nice if people my age (almost 17), would think even close to how I do, in terms of this stuff. If that were the case, then I'm sure that a drinking age would have been negotiated to be lower a long time ago.

But, this issue is just fun to talk about. The only things that I really care about are global warming and economy. As I'm sure that all of you can relate to.
