Voreaphilia

A while back, a friend told me she was a voraphile, and then proceeded to tell me what it was. It's basically a person who gets aroused by watching, or being involved in, animals or peoples eating one another (not in a cannibal type way by the way, at least not most of the time.) Now, me personally, I follow a to each his own policy, plus, I've known this girl for years, and she is the type who volenteers for the homeless ect. The kinda person who would give you the shirt off her back. So it really didn't make much a difference to me, but I admit, it seems to be a strange fetish to have. I was just wondering what others thought about this?

Well...everybody likes something different, I guess. What seems strange and weird to one person might seem perfectly normal to another.

Plenty of people have insane fetishes.

There's not much you can do about it.

That's pretty much what I think, I mean honestly, I've heard weirder (and worse) things to get turned on by.

People eating people is always cannibalism, so I fail to see how this can be done in a non-cannibalistic way.

Everyone's got some sort of fetish, hers just happens to be voreaphilia. Admittedly, one of the stranger ones to have, but to each his own. Or her, as the case may be. :]

Voreaphilia is an odd fetish to have, but it's not the only one (i.e necrophilia, bestiality), but still just a fetish. As long as she doesn't actually try to eat her girlfriend's clitoris, eh, let her be.

In that case, just continue treating her like you've always did. I don't really think it will bother you unless you will think about it al the time.

No, I said in the first post that it doesnt bother me at all, I could really care less about it, but I was just curious about what everyone else thought.

Everyone's got their kinks, but by all means it's pretty harmless, if one of the more unusual fetishes. It shouldn't really be a bother though. If anything, tell her to get a pet snake. That should satisfy her interests everytime she has to feed it, and having to clear it out afterwards should bore her in time. That, or there's some great pictures in fchan of vore she might like. Daemonius says it all in his post, just treat her like you normally do. It won't bother you at all unless you're always thinking about it in your relationship with her.

LIke I said, doesnt bother me, just looking for other opinions to start conversations. And yes, I do agree that for the most part its completely harmless, being as its a fantasy that really cant be fullfiled (mostly) and just relies on the artist/writers who write and draw the material

Yes, I came across this article and others like it (jeffery Dahmer for instance) a lot while inquiring about vore, but really, the majority and I mean a LARGE majority seem to be more of a "fantasy only" type deal. It's usually just expressed via art/some photo manipulation. Its really quite harmless. It's never been mentioned, at least not to my knowledge, that any of the afformentioned killers even knew what vore was, much less an active voreaphile.

I think that just counts as...cannibalism.

Vorarephiles are quite harmless, actually. Except for uncommon fetishes they really are just normal people...who...like to see other normal people being eaten.

Vorarephilia is a fetish/paraphilia developed around the idea of something (usually someone) being devoured (almost always eaten whole). This paraphilia occurs (usually) at younger ages, and they are usually fascinated when someone is eaten (usually of the opposite gender). This paraphilia mainly develops from the emotions of others while being eaten, but I don't know enough about that to really go on about how that works. Digestion is a varied fantasy among vorarephiles, and not all vorarephiles like digestion*.

Now, of course I'm not trying to say that you guys don't know anything about vorarephilia ( ). The only point I'm picking at is (well no duh) vorarephiles are completely harmless.

They will not try and eat you (at least not today >.>).

Hey, I'm one. And as sick as I may be for liking it, it's not my fault and will not eat anyone (at least while you guys are looking).
