Re: Good and Evil
There is no such thing as good or evil.
That is all based on the perception of a person. We all consider Hitler evil. But did he consider himself evil? Was he knowlingly committing the 'wrong'? Or were his decisions decisions 'right' to him?

Re: Good and Evil
Everyone will do what is right in their own eyes. It's human nature. The problem is that doing what's right in your own eyes leads to destruction. There is one way.

Re: Good and Evil
To be honest, I've never heard two definitions of "evil" which didn't in some way contradict or nullify each other. Most people do not give it a clear definition, and in the cases where it actually is given one, it generally conflicts with how many other people percieve it.
I would first have to ask, "What is evil?" And by this I do not mean "What things are evil?" I mean precisely what makes them evil.

Re: Good and Evil
Logically, nothing objective is inherently subjectively good or bad, which are projections made by the perceiver. However, there are actions that are, as I call them, "skillful" versus "unskillful" ones. This are terms for sheer convenience as to what is conducive to Enlightenment and what isn't; what puts the ego in its place and what elevates it into delusion, both for the one who acts and the victim to the action.
The only "evil" is found in delusion, greed, and ignorance. And these are all inherent for life to even exist. And "good" itself, or rather, skillful actions, are only considered such to me because of what they aim for in this example.
