Death

I've hated this guy for a while now. I've never hated anyone before, and I have good reason to hate him... personal reasons, attacks against my family, etc. He's a really screwed up guy with no friends except for ones he makes online. I've tried to be nice to him, many times, but he keeps stabbing me in the back. I've come to the point where I would actually be happy if he died.

Well... he's committed suicide. Jeeze, I don't know where else to put this, so I'm putting it here. I'm not happy... I don't know what to feel. I'm kind of glad he's gone but... holy crap... I wish he hadn't have done that! I feel terrible... I am actually kinda sad...

I guess you never know what you're going to feel until it happens... :/

Simply try to move on, as trying to talk about it with his friends won't work in this situation.

Just go the the cremation/burial if you really feel bad about it, as it might allow you to end this story.

There are times that we will meet people who make our lives difficult. Of course we may wish for them to disappear, but in the end, you weren't at fault for his death. You've turned your other cheek and tried to be the good samaritan by trying to befriend him, but he continued to lash at you. Don't feel guilty for his death. Although the timing was quite coincidental, don't blame yourself. Instead, try to have remorse for his family in the sad times they are going through right now. Please don't speak negatively of the dead, it's never a good thing to do (at least when he's fresh on everybody's minds), just be the bigger person, go to his ceremonial funeral and truly forgive him for all the troubles he caused you when he was alive. If you can't forgive him now, it may carry on with you for the rest of your life. This is the best way to start moving on...

Suicide is not unnormal. There are more than 1,000 deaths by suicide in the teenage society today.

I feel your pain. I really do. I live in a nice house. My parents are making good money, (were not rich.) But I live in the worst neighborhood in this small town in Iowa. I have heard of many deaths and suicides than the avg. person probably hears of in Detroit, Michigan. Sure we really don't have gangsters down here... but worse: Suicidal/Homicidal Teenagers. More Stereotyping than you see on TV/Movies. It's really hell where I live.

Don't feel bad too long... it's nobodies fault.

Not to be an ass, but why're you suddenly so upset that he's dead? He was a pest. From a totally "nature" point of view, your life has been bettered by his cease of existence. Treasure it, be indifferent, but do not be upset. It is quite hypocritical to do so. Death is natural, it happens to everyone. It does not play favorites. He chose to take his own life. Hundreds of other people, around the world, are doing the exact same thing as I type this message.

I knew a guy like that. I hate him still, and I'm fairly sure his death wouldn't upset me. I wouldn't be happy as such, but I wouldn't care. Don't feel bad about it, it isn't your fault.

Probably killed himself because no one liked him. I mean it doesn't sound like he'd have too many friends.

If so, I'd hate to say it, but, he had it coming. I'd reccommend just forgetting about him and move on with your life.

Just try and move on. No use beating yourself up about something you probably couldn't have done anything to change.

that is not your problem- you should feel sorry that he was so mucked up that he did that but unless you were responsible for his suicide it is not anything to do with you!

I agree with BGS here. He took the words right out of my mouth.

It's normal to be sad at the loss of someone, even if it were someone you didn't like.

As long as you aren't laughing at this and jeering at his family, then it's fine.

It seems self-evident that you never really wanted him to die, you simply thought you did. It's just another life lesson.

And DarkKnite, I'd be hard-pressed to find anyone with more than a knowledge of Psychology 101 who would agree with you. Save those who have serious and incurable mental illnesses, nobody is brought to such a state simply by being mean, unlikable, and friendless. If he did kill himself, the real question is what made him so mean, unlikable, and friendless, anyway.

He was probably mistreated growing up or just an *******.

If it's the first (which is probably more likely) I feel bad, but if there's one thing I can't stand its people who take their issues out on other people (other then the ones causing it). If he was really that bad of a person I still say he had it coming.

Like I said, people don't become that bad unless they have a mental defect or some past problems. People generally have reasons for doing what they do...if they don't, we call that "insane".

Chances are that if any one of us had gone through what he did, we would have ended up more or less the same. So he may have had it coming, but really, any of us would have too.

What if they just enjoy causing other people to be unhappy? Like a playground bully or something?
