Summoning Demons... lol?

Okay, so I know some people online that think they can summon demons, and they talk to them and stuff. It's basically their life to do this.

So um... are they crazy? What do you think about this? It just sounds absurd to me... :/

Sorry I don't have much written in this post. There isn't that much to say from me.

<.<; uhm, I'm a Wicca. We practice ritual magic. Demons and spirits are quite capable of communicating to the world, and it really *isn't* that difficult of a process to summon one. Now whether they'll do anything is another story. There's three types of magic. Green, White and Black. Green Magic is nature magic. This involves the elements. Air, Fire, Earth & Water. Then there's White magic. White Magic is 'luck magic' more or less. To better ones, or anothers, odds at a task, or to ward off an evil spirit or a hurtful demon. Then there's Black magic. Now, black magic isn't inherently evil. It's the "Summoning" magic. Most Black Magic is aggressive and can be used easily for ones' own gains to hurt others. Demons, spirits, elemental spirits, ect. Demons aren't all evil, spirits aren't all good, and elemental spirits are just manifestations of the elements.

Since I'm catholic, I vaguely believe in angels and demons (vaguely meaning I'm sskeptic about the said belief). However, these people are either one of two things: crazy and high on the most powerful drug anyone can think of, or, in the case of exorcisms, want your money and will charge you $1000 for it.

In the case of exorcisms, if they could actually summon demons and get rid of them, they'd gladly do it for free.

Summoning isn't "magic". It's called Evocation, and Daemonic beings are ancient and hidden beings, most older than the earth itself.

"Black Magic" however, is the Luciferian practice of ritual IE: The Binding of Shadows, Vox Sabbatum, and blah blah blah. It has really nothing to do with evocation...

Neither of these are Wiccan practices...

I think the term is black magic and or witchcraft.

People do study it, people who want to know alittle about spirts, ect check books from the book store to do it. I saw a reinactic of someone trying to summon a spirt on the show ''A Haunting''. People who are into spirts, ect are willing to summon a dead spirt to talk to, ect. Sometimes the person could summon a bad spirt who is like a deamon and other times a spirt who is kind, ect. I find it odd, though it is a person's choice.

You're confused. Black Magic is just a title. It implies it's general purpose. Which is to be used for revenge, ect. However, it should be noted that theres a Rule of 3. Whatever you do, will be returned you three times as good or bad as what you did.



And Luciferian Magic would be White Magic, for "Lucifer" means "Light Bringer".

(there's lots of Judeo-Christian angels and such that can be used in Wiccan pantheons).

COmplete bull**** in my opinion. Attemps at capitalizing off of previous writings on Necromancy and Azrealism.

It was a reinactment, I did not say that is really happened and that it was real. It was a tv show, they did not record all of it so it had to be done to show what it would of been like.

No. I can't give proof. That's why it's faith & belief, and not fact. Evolution for example, is fact. What I believe requires faith.

You're right, it is absurd and apparently many people are crazy. Demons do not exist.

This is going to lead into Faith/Religion.
If you believe in Wicca or anything that has to deal with Demons or Devils, then no one can tell you otherwise. It is a matter of Faith indeed. Wether or not you are willing to take that leap is completely up to you.

Oh, it's just faith and belief. I thought the demons were literally talking to them and stuff. Okay, now I know it's bullspit. Thread over for me.

<_< uhm, that was just my suggestion. I highly doubt they're serious about it.

Being tolerant of something doesnt mean you support it.

Personally I think this is just a way for them to make themselves seem more special then they actually are.

This stuff is of great interest to me. In a recent test (Belief-O-Matic) I was told that neo-paganism is my ideal religion, which surprised me slightly.Yet, it has always interested me. I intend to get a PhD in psychology, and I wish to specialise in parapsychology, in areas such as these. I would be greatly interested to hear anything any of you have to tell me about such subjects.

And for the record, I do not consider it bull - it MAY be, for all I know, or it may be absolutely spot on accurate. My studies may tell me more...

It's only considered a beleif at this point because science has no means of proving it yet.
Give it time... though, like I said.
Might as well yell out your back door for a job than try finding a daemon.

And for the record. Most Neopagans have made up their own little story as to what demons are, especially Wiccans. These things have no reflection on the actual practice of evocation.
