Sex with Robots?

When I first saw/read this on the internet, I was just speechless.


As the Creation is speeding up, we are about to see more and more robots as a replacement for humans etc. But who has ever thought that one day even robots are going to be able to marry and to have sex with humans?

I don't know, maybe humans then would have a different view on how things are going to be with robots etc.
I have nothing against making robots in order to make life easier and speeding up technology, but do you think this is normal? I know robots aren't like us having emotions and such, however it can be manipulated but still they never can replace the pleasure you can have with a human.

Personally, I think this is too exagerated. But selling sex robots would probably be a succes since there are alot of man/woman that never have the chance to find a partner( human ofcourse).

The first and major factor with marrying a robot is that I wouldn't be able to have children. But who knows, maybe they'll be able to combine robotics with genetic engineering and make reproducing robot women someday.

I can imagine it going as far as robots being produced and marketed as an advanced sex toy. However, I doubt it'll go any further in the near future.

Uh, well I can't see either of them coming true, but it looks as if it already is. Humans are meant to get married and have sex, not robots. This is discusting how scientists are actually trying to invent this stuff. I would like to stay on the human side, plz.

A robot of this kind should be customizable in a number of ways. We're talking real sex now, right? Then I imagine a robot being able to speak and all that stuff, analyze your moves and your words as well. You should be able to set its personality also, so that everyone can enjoy it. This sounds sick, but hey, let's go nuts

Well, it may be good for those poor souls who currently own lifesize dolls which have a similair purpose.

Regardless, I don't see it as disgusting, I see it as inevitable.

That would be quite the programming error.

As a (very) amateur programmer, I can assure you that a programming error would make the robot shut down, not become homicidal.

It is physically impossible to have sex with a robot. The closest thing you can get to that is masturbating really close to one.

Either way, possible or impossible, I think that it is just an absurd idea, even to consider.

Sex with robots will probably happen, and if life size dolls are accepted why should a robot be any different? Some people related more to an inanimate object or automaton than they do to another person.

Personally, I prefer the more tradition same species intercourse, that is human and human. Guess I'm old fashion or not that open, whatever. Sex with robots is fine for some, but not for me.

Really? It'll just be a really big fleshlight with some neat extra features. Just a really advanced sex-toy, I don't see the issue.

Wouldn't that mean you could program them? I guess it would be a good choice for people with severe issues with being in control...

You'd never have to worry about them cheating on you, but wouldn't it be kind of embarrassing to tell your friends/family you married a piece of machinery?

No, actual sex is possible, it would work the same way that sex toys do now.

From what I see, it's just a greatly enhanced version of the standard inflatable doll. So what's the problem, exactly? That it's somehow more "human" and thus might actually draw intimate feelings from whoever was pathetic enough to buy it in the first place? Does it even make a difference?

(Though I must admit that whenever someone says "sex with robots", I immediately picture sex with a large, automated piece of industrial machinery. I'll bet there's a niche market for that sort of thing too, it just hasn't been tapped yet.)

Well, the idea is that the robot is advanced enough in personality to warrant being married to, as well. It's not just a doll if it moves and thinks.

You couldn't technically marry it, as we'd have to pass the 'robots as equal citizens' threshold first.


At best, they'd just be highly advanced sex toys. There doesn't seem to be a real issue here.
