he Child Who Died For Seven Minutes
Describes Her Visit To Heaven [The following testimony was taken from an article printed in a magazine which name is not on the paper. The author is Irwin Fisher. The story is of a little girl who was taken by Jesus Christ to see God, the Father. The two were then taken into the bosom of the Father, and they, three, became one. She also was shown the city in heaven.] "A four-year-old girl who died during heart surgery spent seven minutes in heaven before doctors revived her, a top scientist reports. 'This is stunning evidence of an afterlife,' Dr. Charles Katz told reporters in Calias, France. 'The child's parents are staunch atheists and shielded her from any form of religious indoctrination. She had no notion of heaven or hell. She didn't know that God existed. And yet she describes meeting Him in great detail. She also speaks of Jesus by name -- and says He personally met her at the end of a tunnel of light that led into heaven.' The drama reportedly unfolded while little Marie Lenof underwent surgery to correct a congenital heart defect and died during a critical part of the surgery. Frantic doctors managed to restart her heart after seven minutes. And they later listened in stunned silence as she told them of her journey into the afterlife. At their request, psychologist Katz interviewed the child under hypnosis. A transcript of the session reveals that she was terrified as her spirit rose out of her lifeless body and began its ascent into heaven. 'I was frightened and wanted Mommy, . . . I wanted to go home but I couldn't turn around in the tunnel with bright light at the end. Then I started flying and going faster until I came to the city. I wasn't scared anymore because the shining man was there. He didn't say anything to me but I was safe because He was Jesus. He made me feel happy and walked with me to the buildings that were shiny and white. We went to the throne and it was bigger than a house. God was on it and He smiled at me and then He took me and Jesus into His heart.' Just what the child meant by 'being taken into God's heart' isn't clear. But Dr. Katz thinks she might have become one with God because she next speaks of 'just being happy' before doctors revived her and she came back into life. 'I have heard similar descriptions of an afterlife from adults who have had the near death experience,' said the expert. 'But this innocent child's testimony is even more compelling because she had no preconceived notions. What she is telling us -- and I'll stake my professional reputation on this -- is the truth.' Roger and Catherine Lenof, the child's parents, continue to deny interview requests. But Dr. Katz said they were profoundly affected by their daughter's experience and have decided to reject their former atheism -- and join a Christian church. 'In the face of it they have no choice,' he continued. 'Their young daughter now has questions about God and Christ that they can no longer deny.' Henri Brun of Paris, a paranormal researcher, noted that the child's experience follows a trend that has developed worldwide over the past 18 months. In that time, he said, there have been reports of at least 23 sick and injured children of various nationalities who have visited the afterlife. 'It is almost as if God is trying to tell us something through them,' he said." My reply-I found this very interesting. and I'm wondering is it true? Would that really have happened? I didn't put this in general discussion, because I was worried they'd move it strait back here due to it's subject. Any how, feel free to comment and discuss on the 'seven minutes in heaven' thing. EFIT: bosom of the father, not blossom, typo. >.<

Re: 'The bosom of the Father'
I do think it's true. First off how could the little girl make somthing like that if she was never told about God or Heaven? Second Her parents were atheist and are now attending a christian church. Third, a doctor (most of whom, sorry if i offend anyone, seem to be "Believers in science")
I hope that this is true, since it will be a confirmation of faith for many, and turn others onto God, or at least off of atheism

The sheer fact that her parents were staunch atheists simply means they didn't give her an idea of what death is like, and it was the religious doctrine which she received (I have no proof she had no preconception beforehand, just the word of some obviously Christian individuals) which her mind acted on.The lot of the "religious experience" could be somewhat exaggerated. Children are a thousand times more superstitious than adolescents and adults. I am confident that someone preached to her, and that there are things being covered up. After all, the parents are denying interviews, even though this would be something I'm sure they would love to get out to non-believers if it truly was this remarkable. The massive lack of evidence here, as well as the sheer unlikely nature of it persuades me to say they are either lying, or deceiving themselves.

I also doubt the girl was completely shielded from religion. She would have seen or heard of Christianity from somewhere.

Re: 'The bosom of the Father'
Something sounds fishy here to me. Personally, I think if this is true, then I am screwed since I am a huge atheist. But I doubt this is real. As people have already said, people must have told her about Christianity before. My parents never let me know anything about Christianity. They didn't care what I follow, I learned about it at Primary School. I still never followed it, but it proves that you can learn it anywhere. Hell, even a random Hobo may have told her about the Lord Jesus Christ!

Re: 'The bosom of the Father'
^ The strange thing is -though- how she described it all. Unless someone told her specifically about God sitting on a huge throne, I don't think she'd see that in her NDE. I really doubt school teaches you such things, but who knows?
I've always been sceptic to those kinds of things. Well, hopefully I'll experience it myself some day, then I'll come here and tell you all about it ;-)

Re: 'The bosom of the Father'
This is nothing more than a story written by one of many reverend preachers who do this. I suspected it to be an e-mail story, as it always is, and it appears so.

Re: 'The bosom of the Father'
Nah, the person who sent me this email doesn't write stories. He's more of the type that researches stories. I know him in person. Well, it was something he sent to me, I found it interesting, and I put it on I:SB becuase I thought the discussion would be more serious, rather that a 'chit-chat'.

Re: 'The bosom of the Father'
To original post:
That was God giving that girl a chance at being saved. Otherwise she wouldn't have gotten any exposure to the Holy Spirit of God. To post #10: I highly doubt you'll get that chance.

I'm unsure of this. At first glance the article seems like compelling evidence, but these skeptics make good points. Particularly Prince Shade. So maybe it isn't true. However, it does seem quite a lot of detail for someone who has never had any religious teaching or anything - and though my parents never taught me of God, and I learned it at school, I used to recount these tales to my parents when I was younger, and yet they seem to be denying this. I would also deny interview requests if I was her father, after all, I would want to live my life, and I wouldn't want my daughter being turned into some religious icon.
