Ridiculed Due to Religion

Very good point I must say. But people are this way, because their religion or other sources tell them to. It is particaly their falt, but mostly the people who taught them to act this way. It is the classic thing, Nature versus Nurture. Not everyone is born evil, they are raised to be that way. Gang members and people who live in the slums are taught to kill for money, for they must survive. Some people, like my father, account this on there race. But I see it from the point of a Enlightened individual and tryed to explain the concept to him. The same is for religious raticals, no matter what they will judge other based upon the principles they are taught.

He didn't insult your intellegence. He just said that we shouldn't make fun of other religions. To top it off, you try to prove your point that we should make fun of other beliefs with an attempt to insult Mad Hatters beliefs? Mad Hatter, don't even dignify this tool with a response.

What really irritates me is the fact that people talk about how islamists are always being targeted but never take the time to read their Koran. It's violent stuff. Hey the Bible describes some gross stuff but at least it doesn't tell people to MURDER their neighbors.

I haven't seen any such talk against Jews, and I live in a super-Christian part of the country - and I know a few Jews who live here with me. And evolutionists kinda 'ask' for it? I don't even need to find rhetoric on that comment. I do, however, agree that if you can't tolerate it, just shut it. The failing part of this idea: If someone can't tolerate something anyway, chances are, they're likely to make a fuss over it. If you can tolerate, you wouldn't be saying anything, anyway.

Alright, now you're just making fun of Athiests. In other words, you're ridiculing them. I also think this stems from having met only a few atheists who turned out to be pompous jerks who have no clue. It isn't right to make fun of every single one like that.

If there is one thing in this world that truly irks me, it's the ignorant repeating things they hear without looking into the matter themselves first.

Also, look at the world's very recent History. Just a 100 years. I don't see Muslims as the ones who've caused even a tiny minority of the atrocities. World War one, World war 2, leaving hundreds of millions dead and injured in it's wake. Any sign of muslims? Hitler was a Christian- that doesn't mean I have the right to mock the Christian beliefs and hold the Bible responsible.
And as much as I hate what happened on 9/11, I wouldn't say that that's what started it. When you have discriminatory repulsive foreign policy, expect that some people won't like it and try to retaliate.

I suppose you're right, it just depends on how you look at it. It's difficult to say anything to a person about their religion (unless it's positive), without being 'politically incorrect'.

And neither does the Qur'an. I'd be more than happy for you to prove me wrong, for example if you could tell me where exactly it says this.

I'm starting to think maybe someone has mistranslated the Qur'an, based on the number of English speaking people who think these things.
