No games?

Has anyone heard of Lyndon LaRouche or had any experiences with his youth movement, or talking to others who have worked with/for him? He's a politician that has been running for U.S. President since 1976 (and obviously has never won.)
He has offices all over the U.S. plus some in Europe and Canada. They get into these heated discussions saying that no one should watch t.v., play video games, and ONLY listen to classical music.
I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of this.

oh really...

He has people there too. They all claim to be "right-winged liberals" with all these "new" ideas and pretty much slander everyone today. He went to jail for fraud years ago, and some of the people who remember him then refer to him as a "communist" while he in turn refers to Bush as a "communist," yet LaRouche is the one with all these ideas of conformity, making people do all the same things, arguing with people, claiming things like "All religion besides Christianity is not natural and makes no sense!" Though he's some what viewed as a liberal because he's a "rebel against the government."
What confuses me is why people in older generations think of him as an ex-con while a younger generation thinks of him almost as an idol?

Re: No games?

You know this has very little to do with video games and gaming in general. This should be in really should be in serious discussion. If I could get a mod here to move it to what it suits it best, because you have only mentioned video games.

Re: No games?

those guys stopped me when I was walking down the street cause they wanted to tell me how they're gonna get bush impeached. the guy was stupid and wouldn't shut up...none of what he said could ever work. I gave him $5 to get him to shut up, and he gave me all these propaganda magazines talking about how great larouche is.

edit: I forgot to mention the book they were trying to sell. it was titled "children of satan" and had pictures of republican party members on the cover...

Re: No games?

That's really stupid. The TV was invented to be watched. Video games are made to be played. I'd be fine with the classical music bit. You'd think that alot of people would be left jobless from that as well. nO MORE TV/game stores or makers. No more movie theatures. No more gamestop or EB games. No more actors or movie producers. So many people would lose their jobs if they didn't allow TV watching or video game playing. Alot of radio stations would also have to be shut down. It would be terrible!

Re: No games?

Wait, does Classic Rock count as Classical Music? And what's so bad about playing video games!?

Re: No games?

In what crazy universe is this 'serious' discussion? (The answer: not Zelda Universe.) Locked.
