Porn, is it too easy to acquire?

I know as a sixth grader that porn is taking over my school.Everyday people ask me "do you watch peorn, i do its awesome!" its just out of control i fall asleep to napolean dynamite on cinemax and i wake up because of the tv and porn is on and my mom walks in to my room right when i wake up and i get in trouble? Does anyone else think porn is to easy to get..

It doesn't matter whether it is easy to obtain or not. If people want to see it, they'll see it.

But, is it too easy to get? Well, I assume, your referring to is it too easy for minors to obtain porn, and I'll speak about this issue in that regard. Adults accessing pornography is not an issue, adults should be able to choose what they want to watch.

Is porn too easy to be obtained by minors? Yes. All you have to do is jump on the internet and you're a mouse click away from such things. I'll admit, that when I was a minor, I did view pornography and as an adult, well, I'll admit I still do from time to time. The issue of minors accessing porn, well, even if it was hard to get, it's most likely that they'll find a way to get it. So, it is too easy to get, but, it is most likely that minors would still find a way to get at it even if there were tighter controls.

As for censorship and age restrictions in reference to magazines. In Queensland, there are tougher restrictions than the rest of Australia. Hardcore magazines cannont be sold in newsagencies and shops but they can be sold at specialty adult stores as far as I know. The softer stuff, though, has an Unrestricted rating on it. It just says 'this material is not recommended for persons under 15 years of age', so, that's really easy for minors to get their hands on. However, most proprietors selling such material will most likely only sell it to those they consider old enough to be able to read it. If a store owner or employee sells to minors, they should be fined just like they would if they sell cigarettes to minors. Speaking of cigarettes, they can't be sold to minors yet they're everywhere at High School. It's a bigger problem than pornography in my opinion. Cigarettes can kill you, pornography doesn't. There are many problems in schools that are more important. Violence occurs with shocking frequency in schools, yet many educators don't see it as a problem, and would rather try to stamp out things like pornography.

I've rambled on for long enough. So, is it too easy to get? Yes. Would minors still access it if it was harder to get? Yes.

^^^Pretty much ya, it's really a war you can't win to make minors stop looking at pornography.

SpellJammer is pretty leniant on such issues, porn IS to easily obtainable but who cares? The young ones are developing physichaly, it's perfectly natural for them to want to see "naughty" imagry and they should have every right too. It's not like it's hurting anyone.

SpellJammer would rather his kid be watching porn then going out and doing what he sees. And let's face it, ussualy the more porn a person watches, the less time he has to be really doing the dirty act..

Its not as easy over here, you need ID to get magazines (15) or the top shelf ones (18). You have to pay for porn on tv over here and have a pin code. But babecast and stuff is on late at night but thats not as bad all they do is take there tops off sometimes.

Online porn is very easy to get. A couple of clicks. But there is a restriction you can have on your pc so its the parents choice if they have porn available on the pc or not.

In my school the resriction has went too far. You are not even allowed to go on the google images serch (like for projects) as it restricts you. So anything that might have a naughty word is blocked off.

Wow, 6th graders getting porn, and being real mature over it.

Porn is very easy to get ahold of. For example, you could search for it over the internet, or get the Playboy magazines your older brother stashes under his mattress.

Anyway, yes porn is easily obtained; do I believe that it's going to warp young-impressionable minds... sometimes... do I think we can stop it, No.

So what if porn is easy to obtain, many of you forget the days when you had to actually walk inside a store and buy a magazine, having that awkward moment with the cashier.
Porn is now to be gotten from the internet, and the internet is a rather easy search engine, giving you access to terrabites of information.

But you know what, I don't really give a damn if porn is easy to contain, sex shouldn't be a taboo subject anymore, it's a part of life and survival just like breathing or eating is.

Is porn easy to get? Depends. If you are an adult, yes, it's very, very easy to get. What about if you are a kid? Is it easy to get?

This needs to be further branched out into areas of what you define as "acceptable" and "not-acceptable" sexual contact for a kid; how old or how young a kid should be in order to be classified into "acceptable" or "not-acceptable" category; how the parents react or take precautions from what is "acceptable" and what is "not-acceptable".

Now, if a child is in the teenage area, porn will not be that much of an impact because they are going to see these things on movies, television shows, sexual educations, and so on. Not to mention that parents will only monitor their kids at that age to a degree where they will not interfer their children's personal life.

So we get onto the part where parental control comes in. If parents would be logical and use some common sense, they would have used some sort of parental devices for the web browsers to prevent their young children from viewing porn. Of course, if that is the case, then no, porn will not be accessed so easily. Then again, if the parents never bothered setting that kind of setting to the Internet browsing, then yes, porn will be easy to access.

It all comes down to responsibility, level of education, and common sense.

It's not very hard to obtain, i am 15 years of age and to be honest between the age of 11-14 most people are wondering what all the fuss is about. I myself have watched it plenty of times and dont see anything wrong with it although i do not watch it as often anymore it's still easy to get a hold of.

SpellJammer wouldn't feel awckward, he's just cheap and enjoys the fact that it's free..

As said, there's no harm in letting your biological urges get thier fill. As long as you have enough sense not to go out and do those things to random people. Take SpellJammer, he's a major porn freak, but is 20 and a virgin. (Okay maybe this isn't out of the oldinary lol!)

But seriously, he doesn't want to have sex till he's married. Not out of religous views, but he's actually scared women will leave him in a couple of months because human beings have grown shallow and have shorter attention spans. So to avoid that travesty he's going to wait till marriage to share his body/soul with a woman because marriage to him is like love insurance. The hassle of getting a divorce discourages shallow women from getting involved in such a pact to begin with, you dig?

Now, to me, pornography or rather sex in general is natural. I think it's good that children and us youngsters develop some kind of knowlegde on these subjects. Imagine how shy I would be if I hadn't known some things about the feminine body...

I am probably the only pure person at my school, owing to the fact that I have never tried to look at porn. I am not lying either. Porn is easy to find though, in Greece for example, if you can look over a counter, you can get anything you want. ANYTHING.

The pron industry shouldn't be shut down though, I feel that if that's what you like, then you have a right to it. But my friend knows a four-year-old that knows more about porn than she does, and I consider that friend to be the standard of perversion. That's were I draw the line.

Well of course porn is easy to get. Then again, would you expect an army of employees gaurding the porn isle at the magazine store or wherever the porn thats not on T.V. or the internet is? As for porn websites, those have nothing keeping minors from seeing them. Once in school, I was just messing around so I typed out the whole www thing followed by ****me and then .com. I don't want to simply type it because then it would become a link to the site. I didn't know there was actually a site by that name and a teacher saw it.
