Actually, with all of the MTV coverage of teen pregnancy/motherhood, I'm far more surprised the number hasn't dropped
further.
Believe it or not, teen pregnancy rates at a lot of schools are dropping because the MTV shows tell kids how much your life can suck after having a teen pregnancy. Most kids who don't take the precautions necessary to not get teen pregnant think that, if they do get pregnant, their boyfriends would stick with them forever and that raising a kid wouldn't involve any work. Thank goodness, MTV's crappy little docu-dramas have proven those kids incredibly wrong.
And Eric, in this case, there actually might be. ;3
On another note... Ye gods, I can't find this CDC report *anywhere*! Does anybody anywhere have a link to the actual report, or do you know if it's even been released to the general public yet?
