Azerik Zaraki's Training.
As I walked through yet another sea of trees I found myself wondering if I was ever going to get there. Was there some sort of invisible force keeping me from my destination? Did it even exist? Why was I going there again? Where was I going anyway? Oh right!
I was going to the Dome. A rather strange name for a training facility I thought at first, but decided it best not to question the wisdom of the god-like proprietors of the greatest training facility in the universe (or any other universe for that matter). "Are we there yet?" came the whiny child-like voice from inside my cranium. "Shut up Kireza," I replied out loud, not bothering to be discreet, "if we were there don't you think I would have stopped walking?" "No need to be so mean about it Azerik..." "Well I wouldn't be so 'mean' about it if you didn't insist on asking about it every two minutes!" I spat angrily. That idiot hollow never ceased speech. Worse yet, I couldn't ignore him. Why, you ask? Can you ignore yourself? I thought not. "If the information that gentleman at the pub gave you is correct, we should be there in about 30 minutes." came another voice-this one older and wiser than my own-from inside my thick skull. "Thank you Sumasshuyochi," I said swiping aside the fringe of brown hair blocking the sight line of my grey eyes, "hopefully we'll get there before Kireza asks is 30 minutes is up yet." Some 25 minutes later the 3 of us (in one body mind you) cleared the vast expanse of trees we had been walking through. "Finally," I sighed, "that's 283 forests we've been through in the last 3 weeks." "It could be worse. We could have had to travel through 283 swamps." Sumasshuyochi said, all matter-of-fact-like. "I don't even want to think about that," I said shuddering, "I hate swamps...still it's depressing walking through nothing but forests for 3 weeks." "Azerik," said Kireza in a slightly subdued voice, "what's that building over there?" Seeing as I was already looking there (he see's what I see after all), I took a minute to register the images my retinas were sending to my brain. "That my friend," I said as the anticipation built up inside, "is what we've come here for." As I finished my sentence I began walking up to the large Coliseumesque domed building. Finally after 3 weeks of forest scenery I was at the Dome. I was finally ready to start my training. |
