Bleo Leonus's Training

OoC: Okay, I wasn't entirely sure how I was supposed to start it; I assumed it was his first encounter of the Dome? Yeah, that sounds about right.

BiC: Bleo reached down to the sandy earth beneath his feet, scrapping up a small sample in his paw. He brought it up to his nose and tentatively breathed in its foreign scent; nothing. His senses yielded nothing. This puzzled him. Involentarily, his brow furrowed and the grey sand slipped between his fingers. Resigning himself to his vision alone, he looked up from the ground to take stock of his surroundings.

Slowly and precisely, Bleo shifted his feet in the sand. Everywhere he looked he was met with the same sight; a void and desolate desert of the same grey sand was clothed in a delicate but thick fog. The strange way that the ground merged with the air was unsettling. Bleo clutched a paw to his aching head. The ground was spinning beneath him. He had to sit.

All grace and finesse gone, Bleo fell slowly to the ground. In his weakened state, he tried to cast his addled brain back a few hours. How had he got here? How could he have let himself get so lost? He vaguely remember leaving Santorap Village with high-spirits and clean clothes. But as hard as he tried, nothing between then and now would return to him. This, to Bleo, was more unsettling than his current predicament. The fact that he was alone and tired in a foreign land was nothing compared to the horror of losing track of his mind.

Shaking the feeling from his clothes, Bleo pulled himself to a sitting position and crossed his legs. Not all was lost, surely. There was time yet for giving up. He wrapped his blue leather coat tighter around his thin frame and hunched over against the burgeoning wind. His fur bristled as the cold picked up. He shut his eyes, tight, blocking out the sound of silence. After a few minutes in the dirt, analysing his situation, Bleo pulled himself to together and rose to his feet, leaning heavily on his walking stick.

Bleo reached slowly into his leather knap-sack and retreived a pair of sand-goggles. After fastening them carefully behind his ears, things seemed to become much clearer; this desert was not a problem, he was properly equipped and as long as he kept himself from losing his mind, he would be fine.

With a new sense of certainty under his belt, Bleo began to trudge forwards.

In retrospect, heading in an unknown direction in an unknown landscape was not a very wise choice. But Bleo felt sure, somewhere within him, that he was doing the right thing. He buttoned up his jacket to just beneath his neck and tightened his belt. This action pulling the two blades by his side closer into his waist; the feeling of their cold strength against his bare legs was very re-assuring. He was not in danger. He was not trouble. He could make it out.

Bleo Leonus walked on.

He had barely gone ten small steps when he walked straight into something solid and tall blocking his path. Bleo had to raise a shaking paw to his forehead; it was throbbing from the impact. He felt like a fool to have walked into something seemingly so obvious. After regaining his balance, he looked up at his obstruction.

Bleo had walked into a large pine-wood door with large brass knockers and steel strips running its length. It was about three times as tall as him. The door was sitting in a frame, upright, in the middle of nowhere. Bleo’s immediate reaction was confusion; why would someone leave a quality door upright in a place like this. Furthmore, how did it maintain its rigorous posture. He walked a few rings around this strange monolith. After deciding that it was just a door, he headed off again.

It wasn’t long before Bleo’s interest peaked, and he hurried back the way he came to the door. Feeling like more of a fool than ever, he rapped twice on the knocker. No response. Slowy, tentatively, Bleo gave the nob a large turn and pushed the door open.

Re: Bleo Leonus's Training

^_^ I like your character already, I can tell. Kitty person with swords. This will be fun, methinks. Anyway, I can't really find anything wrong with that first post, so here is your first assignment:

Assignment Time:

I want you to wander around the Dome for a bit, just taking in the scene, etc...You can wander into any of the Dome's FIXED rooms, that is the Fountain Room, the Gardens, the Cafeteria, the Dome Center, the Infirmary, etc.... but I want you to end up in a room that is basically a big lake. Oh, make sure you describe the door. The key to the Dome is its doors. There is an island in the middle of it, and I want you to get to it, whatever mode of transportation you choose (*hint hint*, be creative). Once there you will hear a splash, but that is all. Stop at that, and I will do the introduction between our two chars. Your teacher will meet you there.

Also, I'm going to be training Bleo under Zachary Leos. Read up on him, since he's in my sig. ^_^
