Jaeger's Training
OoC: Yeah, kinda on the long side, sorry about that.
Jaeger grinned deviously in the midst of the underbrush. He was in the forest; he was at home. His knees were stiff and aching, his back was hunched uncomfortably, and the sweat on his brow was itching and aggravating, but he was at peace. This job was at once more complicated and less rewarding than the usual one he took. It was also an anonymous request, something he particularly disliked; this generally made collecting the payment a trouble in itself. Far worse, perhaps, was that it required no killing. Most of his jobs were simple assassinations with a singular target to kill; this one was little more than a heist, a roadside robbery. Jaeger was certain he would kill, of course, but it wasn’t nearly as enjoyable if he didn’t have a specific prey in mind. The job requested that he intercept a traveling caravan and relieve them of a certain artifact; a certain rare, expensive artifact. He had been assured that its security would be high, and most importantly, he had been assured that the caravan would be passing through this part of the wilderness. In truth, if not for this, the satisfaction of working in the woods, he would have ignored the request completely. He had knelt down there, still and unmoving, the gnats and spiders giving their unending attention to him, for hours. His knees were stiff and aching, his back was hunched uncomfortably, and the sweat on his brow was itching and aggravating, yet a wide devious grin spread over his face. In the far distance, he could hear the plodding of horses and the slow churning of wheels. As it grew closer, Jaeger could see that he had not been misinformed; it was an ordinary caravan to be sure, but walking alongside it were many well armed guards. He counted something around five, though there might have been more, all wearing elaborate chest-plates, tall halberds and sharp helmets. Perhaps they were not in truth his prey, but it would surely be a good hunt. One hand slowly slid towards his bow, the other over his back, towards his quiver. He drew his bow carefully, holding his breath in quiet anticipation. Finally, he loosed the arrow at the nearest guard and the arrow quickly deflected off his shoulder plate, slightly away from the gap between his helmet and chest-plate. He staggered with a loud groan, then shouted to his companions in alarm. Quickly now, Jaeger drew another arrow and loosed it at him, this time hitting home, silencing him. The arrow drove into his neck, and he hit the floor. Immediately, as he expected, others followed towards the source of the arrow, shouting commands to each other. As one began approaching him, unaware of his enemy’s exact location, Jaeger concentrated, tensing his muscles. He channeled his energy into the ground that he lay on, and slowly, vines and roots spread over the man’s feet, his shins, knees, and thighs. When he stopped and screamed in shock, grabbing and tugging at his legs, Jaeger was already upon him with scimitar in hand. He dropped the man, then jumped over the body and headed straight for the now unguarded caravan, with multiple guards running after him from the woods, still yelling in fury. One unfortunate soldier stepped over a tripwire and found several sharpened logs piercing his kneecaps from both front and back. In desperation he screamed, and one or two others began clawing at the bloody snare to set him free. In the confusion, diving into the caravan and finding a suspicious chest amongst the litter of things was easy for Jaeger. He opened the chest and found a rusty emblem that fit the target’s description, and then jumped out of the caravan hastily to find a group of guards reforming. He had the artifact; now he simply had to escape with it alive. The soldiers wasted no time with words. Instead, they lunged at him with their halberds raised. Jaeger ducked under the first strike and dove forward, narrowly missing another swipe. A stab came from his right, grazing his arm and drawing blood. He launched a throwing knife in retaliation, though it futilely bounced off steel armor. Another strike came, drawing blood on his right leg, and he stumbled for a moment, one knee hitting the dirt. Jaeger struggled to get up, but was quickly cast down by a successful stab to the back of his left thigh. Though he tried to contain the urge to scream, it seeped out of him along with a hoarse groan. Painfully, he turned to his assailants. He released his second throwing knife, then kicked off with his legs to resume running towards the safe cover of the forest… It was then that all turned to black. Though he was unaware of it at the time, the decaying emblem that Jaeger had tucked away safely was letting out a soft glimmer. The furious shouts from his back were silenced, the forests ahead of him dissipated, and he sank away into darkness. Before he had become aware of it, he was freefalling. And before he had become aware of it, the rusty emblem from the caravan had fallen from his person and disappeared into the darkness as well.

Re: Jaeger's Training
Welcome to the Advanced Class. You did very well, I might add. Now, I would like Jaeger to wake up in the Dome and be found by a Domerii. Domerii are short, pale, humanoid butlers of the Dome which do its bidding, sending letters here and there and taking students to their rooms. So, have this Domerii explain to Jaeger the concept of the Dome, and that he will soon be taught by a certain Orysius Solian. Then have the Domerii lead Jaeger to his room.
Please focus on dialogue, as I would like to get a better sense of the way you write it. End your post after describing Jaeger's room a bit.

Re: Jaeger's Training
It was to the tall, concrete ceiling of an imposing dome that Jaeger awakened. He found himself lying down on a smooth and polished floor, in stark contrast to the rough soil he had been friendly with not long ago.
He sat up in a state of alarm, questions rushing through his head. Almost instantly he checked his wounds to find that they were no longer present; along with that, he realized, was the old battered relic that he had stolen. He made the connection immediately. Somehow, the strange thing had transported him to this surreal realm, and now that he had lost it, he seemed to be incapable of returning. While he sat cursing his terrible fortune, a foreign creature in the large dome had become aware of his presence and had already rushed up to him. “Ah…you must be master Jaeger.” The creature said, his voice echoing in the otherwise silent chamber. Jaeger stood up quickly and looked at the thing to find that it was really a human…or looked like one, at any rate. It had the characteristics of a human, and in spite of its otherwise adult-like appearance, only reached his waist. It didn’t seem to be a dwarf, either, judging by its strange pale skin color. Truly, Jaeger thought, it was an entirely different creature. “To you, I am the Lord of the Hunt.” Jaeger protested dramatically, partly offended and partly startled that the thing had known his name. “What are you?” He asked flatly, glaring at it. The thing, undeterred by the manner with which he spoke, replied almost mechanically. “I am a domerii, a servant of the dome, and I am here to take you to your room.” “The dome? What is the dome?” Jaeger demanded. “This is the dome.” The domerii waved his arms around. “It is an inter-dimensional facility to train and teach the—“ “Well, I’m looking for a certain object that I’ve lost.” Jaeger cut in, suddenly uninterested. “It’s about the size of your head with a sort of spiral design to it. It should have fallen somewhere in here.” The domerii in front of him tilted his head. “I cannot say I am familiar with this object,” He said in a monotone voice, “But I must show you to your room.” Immediately he began shuffling off, expecting Jaeger to follow. Jaeger didn’t have any desire to take part. “I don’t think you understand.” he insisted. The domerii turned around to look at him curiously. “I need this object to leave this place. I don’t need a room. I need the object.” “I must show you to your room.” The domerii repeated. Jaeger’s face contracted with frustration. He was in full battle gear; he was sure he could kill the little thing without any trouble, then go about looking for that damned rotten artifact. He looked over his shoulders suspiciously. The dome truly was a large place to behold, for he could not find a wall anywhere he turned. There were scattered domerii scurrying this way and that, but he could not find anyone else. “Your thoughts, master Jaeger?” The domerii asked, curious about the man’s recent silence. Jaeger’s eyes slid over to the domerii. “What is this Dome place for, again?” He asked slowly. “The dome is an inter-dimensional facility to train and teach the warriors of the world in their ways. The fact that you have appeared here signifies that you are worthy of its lessons.” The thing recited. Jaeger stood in thought for another moment. The idea that he could receive some sort of battle training from this place seemed charming, but perhaps more importantly, there were sure to be armed oafs running all over this place. With this came the realization that he probably didn’t have as much choice in the matter as he would have liked to; surely they wouldn’t allow him to search their home thoroughly. “Take me to my room,” Jaeger insisted, still trying to instill some authority in his voice, though he knew that he was, in a sense, capitulating. “Of course.” The domerii said, and continued to lead Jaeger through the dome. The wide open area that he had started in soon tapered into a series of narrow corridors, and soon the domerii stopped, turned to his left, and lifted one arm up, signaling that they had reached their destination. “You will soon receive further instructions as to your training. It is master Orysius Solian that will be teaching you.” The domerii instructed. To Jaeger’s left was a white door. “I see.” He said lamely, heading towards the door and opening it. Inside was his room, designed to look much like a bedroom from his own world might; its walls were made of a simplistic stone brick, with a cushioned bed to one side and a weapons stack and closet on the other. It wasn’t much, but then, Jaeger liked it that way. “Well then…” He turned to find that the domerii had already left him. Perhaps, Jaeger thought to himself, this would be enjoyable.

Re: Jaeger's Training
Great job. Sorry this took so long, too.
I want to see how well you can handle other peoples' characters by only seeing a few things from them. But first, I'd like to test your action skills. Have Crackle find a note from Orysius that reads: To my new student, You'll find me in the Volcano Room. It's a bit steamy so I suggest wearing something a slight more breezy than what you're currently donning. Also, bring some gloves, because I like to climb. Cheers, Orysius PS: The Dome will help you find your way. Don't worry. So, after recieving this note, have Jaeger find his way to the Volcano Room. Inside, there is nothing but a barren wasteland with a single massive volcanic mountain. There is a large platform floating atop the volcano's crater, and since Orysius is nowhere to be seen, Jaeger should head up to the top. End your post with him hearing a voice from atop the platform when he reaches the brim of the crater.
