Wow, this is
way overdue.

Sorry for the distinct lack of Aurora being involved, Ry-san, but I'll have to study her intently in order to portray her properly. I feel it would be best if I let you develop first impressions, then figure out where to go from there. Oh, and would you mind reviewing my previous training thread with LEA? At least, the most recent submission. It explains the significant oddity of Blitz' room.

I look forward to training with you, sensei.
BiC:
Hmm… thought Blitz to himself, giving the pool of water in the center of his room a stern look. It had been some time since he had bathed properly, and he had worked up quite a sweat battling the elf, Sileya. Surely it would not hurt to take a quick dip in the water. He swiftly rid himself of his runic garb and the gray tunic beneath, then his pants. All that remained were his red boxers, which he chose not to remove. That done, he knelt next to the pond and cautiously poked at it with one toe.
“Jeez!” he cried in surprise, jerking the limb back from the freezing waters and tumbling onto his back. Were it not for the plush carpet, he might have bruised his already sore back on the hardwood floor. After quickly composing himself and standing, he called on his element. Blitz had performed this technique many times in the past; so much so that it had become second nature. Without even thinking, he caused fire element to converge on the pond, instantly turning it into an internal Jacuzzi. Putting on a satisfied smile, he crept toward the waters, less warily this time, and sank into the pond. It was large enough so that he could fit without the statue of his departed wife being a nuisance, yet not so small that it felt empty.
As the warm, steaming waters washed over his bruised skin, he closed his eyes and let out a sigh of comfort. It had been at least six months since Blitz had felt the warmth of freshly heated water, and he had forgotten how relaxing the sensation was. Yet something felt odd about it. Without contemplating much, he realized what that something was: the statue. It was built so that Amy appeared to be standing on the surface of the waters, leaning forward and holding out a single arm from which water poured. Since the pool recycled its own water, the liquid was still just as warm when it returned to the surface from above. Yet the statue’s very presence made Blitz feel uneasy. Perhaps the immortalization of her in such an unorthodox way was what disturbed him so, or maybe that she was all around and yet nowhere to be found. The images lining the wall coupled with the statue would be more than enough to make anyone awkward.
Click.
Blitz’ eyes swiveled toward the door to his right as Sileya sauntered in, face aiming directly at him. Their eyes locked for an instant, and then Blitz was suddenly aware that he was almost completely nude. Whether or not she could discern the redness in his cheeks, increased by the steaming waters, did not matter because he let out a very audible yelp.
The elf woman laughed a feathery laugh which rung pleasantly in his ears, but Blitz was far from amused. “What’s the matter? You’re still wearing your boxers.”
Ack! cried Blitz silently, suddenly aware that the sight of him was not completely cut off by the water between himself and Sileya. “I know that!” he said, unintentionally raising his voice.
“Touchy,” said the elf with an amused grin. “Someone’s uncomfortable with himself.”
Blitz frowned at the jest at his expense. His eyes narrowed in an act more out of self-consciousness than of frustration. Wishing to change the subject, he quickly muttered, “So did you come here to speak to me, or just to make me very uncomfortable?”
Sileya let out another light laugh, placing a hand over her mouth in order to quiet the action and avoid further embarrassing the swordsman. “Sorry, but you walked into it.” Her mood then became somewhat more serious, and Blitz noticed a subtle change in her expression. “Anyway, I have some good news and some bad news. Which would you like to hear first?”
Part of the reason I left the Alliance to begin with was to avoid
bad news… remembered the soldier in regret. If he could not escape these things no matter where he went, then leaving his organization seemed about as redundant as asking which he wanted to hear first. “My life can’t get much worse, let’s start with the bad news.”
This time Sileya did not laugh. “The bad news for you is that the Dome has decided my time as a teacher here has ended.” Without missing a beat, and apparently missing the expression of motley confusion and surprise on Blitz face, she continued. “At the same time, the Dome has decided that your training is not yet done. In light of that, you will be transferred to another tutor here whom many hold in very high regard.”
“Is that the good news?” asked the swordsman, not completely done with his shock though he now hid the expression. “It doesn’t sound so great to me.”
“If you wish to continue your training, then yes, that is good news.” Sileya showed him a vibrant smile, and Blitz could not help but feel somewhat uplifted by her radiant attitude. She must have noticed the downtrodden spirit behind his mask, for she spoke more softly now, “Don’t fret over it. I have never met her, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about your new teacher.”
After seeing Sileya’s impressive fighting technique, Blitz was more than curious about someone praised by the swordswoman. He found himself wondering what a renowned battle tutor would be like. What came to mind was a man about six feet tall with a rugged and commanding stature, donned in drab but runic clothing that would cause others to mistake him for a common traveler. Such an image demanded a title, and so Blitz asked of the elf, “Can I get a name?”
“Aurora,” she said simply, speaking the name with a proud smile.
That certainly did not fit the image his mind had devised. Firstly, Aurora was the name of a woman. Not only that, the name itself sounded almost mystical, magical. Perhaps she was a mystic, or a mage with powers the likes of which Blitz had never seen before? If that was the case, then she would most likely be a bit mysterious; mages were often that way to his experience. He could imagine getting along with this person very well, but chances were that the image he had come up with was largely inaccurate. “Well, if you say so,” he surrendered with a sigh. “You’ve been here longer than I have, so I’ll take your word for it.”
“Good!” Sileya excitedly clapped her hands together once, and then strode elegantly toward him. Blitz watched as she knelt down next to him, and his cheeks went a bit numb. The elf offered a hand, and he reluctantly took it. Two strong shakes sealed the deal, and the elf woman rose with a smile on her face. “I hope we meet again, Blitz. Until then, it was a pleasure knowing you.”
Feeling a bit of his old commanding officer in himself, Blitz nodded and smiled subtly. “Likewise.”
OoC: I do have one request, Ry-san. Allow me to do the opening introduction. I have a rather original character interaction that I'd like to implement, and I think you will find it interesting.
