Appearance:
Head – Much like the rest of her, her face and head does not have much on it. It is gaunt and practically skeletal. Dead, withered flesh is still stretched tight on her horribly visible bone structure. It is grayish green now in tone. Dry and tight like hardened leather strips. Her eyes have long ago been lost to decay, but bright pinpoints of crimson light burn on in the empty sockets. All the hair has fallen from her skull, so it is now bald. It is somewhat difficult to tell that she had once been a female human. Those with sharp eyes can see the feminine structure of her facial bones. It is an oddly delicate structure for such a disgusting undead being. She no longer has lips, just constantly exposed rotted brown teeth. Her nose is more of a decayed snout.
Body – She is quite literally just skin and bone. That is all that is left of her body. It looks something very similar to a dried up mummified body. All that can be told is that she had been rather tall.
Clothes – She wears a black capping bandana on her bald skull and tied at the back of her twiggish neck. Most of her body seems to be wrapped in bandages so dirty white they have a grayish tinge. They are seen from any part of this outfit that exposes her body. It hangs loosely on her thin frail frame. It is more worn, ragged, and dirty than in the image. Nearly moth eaten with several holes. She has light leather boots that lace and buckle up to just below her knees. She often wears a tattered gray cloak over this outfit.

Weapon(s):
Stave – Her staff has a strap/loop in which it often rests on her back when not in use. Its spells have a range of 55 ft (16.7 m) unless otherwise noted. It has 25 extra points of MP charge for Riarnca’s use. She can still use her staff to help her channel spells with verbal incantation and without gesture as well as extending the range on her magic and lowering the MP cost (See Powers/Magic/Skills).

Adamantite Knife – The blade of the knife is made from the metal called adamantite. It is impervious to acid and has a Moh’s hardness of 10. It’s very hard but not brittle. It weighs just as much as steel, but it is differentiated by its starry luster. Thus, the blade in the picture linked above is rather the same except for the color of the blade. Here is an example of adamantite ore. This stays on one of her right side on the belt that is horizontal on her hip in its black sheath.

Carried Possessions:
Phylactery - An integral part of becoming a lich is creating a magic phylactery in which it stores its life force. As a rule, the only way to get rid of a lich for sure is to destroy its phylactery. Unless its phylactery is located and destroyed, a lich reappears within ten days after its apparent death.

Riarnca’s phylactery is a tea kettle made of ivory with an ebony handle and gold and jade inlays. A phylactery is expensive by default, but liches work hard to make them look unassuming, so that they aren't the first thing a lich-hunter goes for when trying to destroy them. However, unlike a true tea kettle of ivory, this one has a hardness equal to her adamantite knife. It would take something of equal hardness or more to destroy it. No ordinary spells or magic are up to the task either.

Spellbook - The book is 11 in (28 cm) long and 9 in (23 cm) wide. The cover is made out of thick, tough black leather. The pages are made out of very thin and fine vellum (mammal skin prepared for writing and printing on). The writing within is a very small and fine scrawl. The ink used is a dark maroon. The volume is thick, about 2 ½ in (6 cm) so. It contains instructions to casting all the spells below (see Powers/Magic/Skills).

Appearance: This bird looks just like a normal forest raven. Black feathers and beak with white irises. He is among the larger built of his side as according to this picture.

Weapon(s): Claws and beak. He will use these in attempt to gouge out eyes balls and harass anyone his master commands him to.
Armor: He doesn’t appear to be as easily damaged at any normal bird is. His feathers and tissue just unusually difficult to cut or damage. As if a normal blade is simply duller than is actually is to his feathers and flesh. It will take more than that to seriously injure Taos.

Powers/Magic/Skills:
  • Low-light vision

  • Dark vision up to 60 ft. (18.28 m)

  • As well as knowing the common tongue, Taos can speak Abyssal--the language of demons. However, he cannot speak with his own kind without some kind of magical help.

  • Taos is a little more powerful than the normal raven familiar with his Smite Good ability added to his attacks.
Smite Good - This adds just a bit more "bite" to his beak and claw attacks.

Appraise - Can examine common, well known, and exotic items to determine what they are and what their value is.

Share Spells - At Aralliro's option, she may have any spells that she casts on herself also affect Taos. He must be within 5 ft at the time of casting to receive its benefit. If the spell or effect has a duration other than instantaneous, it stops affecting Taos if he moves farther than 5 ft away and will not affect him again even if he returns to Aralliro before the duration expires. Additionally, she may cast a spell that normally can only affect her on Toas (as a touch range spell) instead of on herself.

Empathic Link - Taos has an empathic link with Aralliro out to a distance of up to 1 mile. Aralliro cannot see through Tao’s eyes, but they can communicate empathically. Because of the limited nature of the link, only general emotional content can be communicated.

Because of this empathic link, Aralliro has the same connection to an item or place that Taos does.

Deliver Touch Spells - He can deliver touch spells for Aralliro. If she and Taos are in contact at the time she casts a touch spell, she can designate him as the "toucher." Taos can then deliver the touch spell just as she could. As usual, if Aralliro casts another spell before the touch is delivered, the touch spell dissipates.

Scry on Familiar - If Aralliro wishes to scry upon Taos, she must focus for one hour upon it, then she can see and hear Taos and his immediate surroundings (approximately 10 feet in all directions of him). If the he moves, she follows in her mind at a speed of up to 150 feet per 6 seconds. She has her full visual acuity, including any magical effects. In addition, she can send messages to Taos during the duration of this spell-like ability. She can only scry for 20 minutes on him.

You can whisper messages and receive whispered replies with little chance of being overheard. You point your finger at each creature you want to receive the message. When you whisper, the whispered message is audible to all targeted creatures within range. Magical silence, 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal (or a thin sheet of lead), or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks the spell. The message does not have to travel in a straight line. It can circumvent a barrier if there is an open path between you and the subject, and the path’s entire length lies within the spell’s range. The creatures that receive the message can whisper a reply that you hear. The spell transmits sound, not meaning. It doesn’t transcend language barriers.

Strengths: Resistant to cold, fire, and magic (though not completely immune to them). Intelligent. Small, dexterous, quick, and graceful.
Weaknesses: Taos is small with little strength and power. There is only so much damage he can do alone with his claws and Smite Good magic.

Personality: Taos can speak, but he doesn‘t seem to do it all that much. However, he is as cunning and intelligent as he is silent. When he does speak it is for a very specific purpose. Enemies beware this clever creature‘s tongue, and allies should heed his wisdom. He obeys none but his master. He is extremely loyal to her, but not really out of love but simply the strong magic bond that familiars and wizards share. Though, he also happens to find her capable, powerful, and worthy of his devotion. He trusts her judgment almost as much as he trusts his own. In turn, she treats him with similar respect and value in his own insights. They make a rather perfect match for each other.

He doesn‘t appear to hold much disdain for others even if he deems them less able and clever. Taos seems to treat most everything rather apathetically, but not without awareness and scrutiny. His judgments seem oddly non-critical. He does not look down on others nor does he seem to admire them.

In addition to being paralyzed, the subject exudes a carrion stench that causes all living creatures (except her) in a 10 ft (3 m) radius spread to become sickened. As if they have a really bad fever that causes them to become disoriented; dizzy; and extremely light-headed, and stomach flu, causing great nausea and high chances of vomiting. Only a strong fortitude can negate the affects by will. Spells the remove or neutralize poisons can lift the sickness. Creatures are an immune to poison remain unaffected by the stench.

All their skills and abilities take some penalty, affecting the power, duration, and other details affecting the efficiency of their skills and abilities. The negative levels disappear from up to 15 hours maximum. In contrast, this can increase the vitality of undead creatures for an hour.

History: As the last in his family line of illusionist mages. He had been attending an illusionist guild since a very young age, but eventually ran away from it to seek a different kind of power. He found this coven of necromancers and joined, having since learned some of their magic and sinking farther into corruption

Personality: Silent but not stupid. Her eyes hold intelligence and a quiet sort of sensuality about her. She will speak occasionally. Mostly only to her Master Aralliro. Often, her eyes stir with her thirst and hunger for blood, especially the blood of men.
