Wow. Your stuff is pretty bad-ass. I've NO idea how to do any of that. Also, I'm a bit of a Midna fan, so <333

Holy pumpkin on a hamster stick... that's some good work. I love the way you handle light. ^^ I always have a hard time getting it just right... tricky stuff. Some of the textures in the castle town scenes look like they could use some work, but if it's a work in progress that's just to be expected. >_> What programs do you use, and how long have you been practising?

Can't if you don't try Character modelling is probably the trickiest part but modelling houses really isn't that difficult (just bloody tedious). All you need to get going is the software and some tutorials. Like from Gnomon or Digital Tutors.

I've been doing this seriously for about 2 years now. I had a bit of experience before that aswell but it was pretty much just modelling guns and some basic keyframe animation. I'm currently using maya 09, photoshop and bodypaint.

You might want to check out Vray for Maya, too... Hopefully it won't fry your CPU, but. ;D

You said you're using Photoshop so I'm guessing you're doing the textures yourself too? I'm stuck in 3DS Max for college but I think we're switching to Maya next semester.

Your Castle Town models look like they could just be slotted into a Zelda game.

I suppose I should update this topic. Here's the latest thing I did.
It's nothing much, just a small animation using Casey's line in Brawl Taunts 2 . Took me 3 hours or so.
