I just thought I would share some of my works. Don't be afraid to make comments and or critique it as much as you feel necessary!

This poem is one I gave to my mom inside of a cookbook for Christmas in 07'. She loved it and started to cry. I hope you enjoy it as well!

Mom

Mom, you are the best.
You are no way like the rest.
You're my one and only.
That never gets old.

Mom, you are my gold.
You're never afraid,
you always know what to say.
You are strong.

Always there to wipe a tear,
kiss a scratch,
lend a hand,
or to hold me tight.

Our hands clasped tight,
Never letting go,
just like our hearts for eternity.
Mom, I love you.

Mom, you are my superhero.
You are no way like the rest.
You're no Wonder woman or Cat girl,
But you are my mom,
and thats the best.

Hey I really like that, it's been a while since I read a nice simple poem. Sometimes you forget about the simplicity of poetry when you're taking a demanding Poetry Class. For a minute there while I was reading it I actually believed I felt the same way about my mom, it's too bad I don't. Keep writing!

It's a shame you haven't gotten any more replies than this. I think your poem is beautiful, and I feel the same way about my own mother. She may get on my nerves sometimes, but I love her so much. Your poem is such an inspiration...the first time I read it I tried to write an insprirational poem, but it turned out to be a horror/romance...XD.

Perhaps I can get her to come back and post more poetry. *goes off to pester Rika with emails and phone calls and house visits to post more for the public*
