A love poem
Ok everyone, this is a poem I have just written as part of a gift for my fiance. I would love some feedback, so I can know if it is good for the gift. Its a Shakespearean Sonnet in iambic pentameter.
To the one love of my entire life, You hold my heart and save it from breaking, You will someday soon be my wedded wife, You keep my entire soul from aching. As much love as can be felt I feel now, My heart and soul longs for your heart and soul, I can’t wait until I make my true vow, And when the day comes, I will feel more whole. Without you I will not, no, cannot live, My heart and soul cry when not near your side, My love, my life, my soul is your captive, And I couldn’t take them back if I tried. My whole life is devoted just to you, Because I love you, and you love me too.
