Angels in Amsterdam - Song lyrics
Well, inspiration for this song struck when I was talking to my girfriend on the phone. She's in stagecraft at school, so she's in the school's Performing Arts Center, and the people there called the really high booth (I can't remember what it was) Heaven. Well, the stagecraft students aren't allowed in there, so they call it Canada when they do go in, so they're not technically lying when their teacher asks them if they went to Heaven. Well, that's what sparked Angels in Amsterdam
------------------------------- My life has led me to here No hand except my own Crossing the point of no return I’m longing to go home Flying Through the green-hued smoke Soaring Above the pollution I’ll choke Immortal Standing barefoot in sand I’m just another Angel in Amsterdam I can no longer feel fear I’ve let my senses go My mind is trailing so far behind There’s now nothing to know Flying Through the green-hued smoke Soaring Above the pollution I’ll choke Immortal Standing barefoot in sand I’m just another Angel in Amsterdam And when we’re all lost Can we go? When my hand is weak Can I hold? When we’re all gripped By sublimality Can we all escape From this reality? Falling Through the green-hued smoke Plummeting Above the pollution I’ll choke Just mortal Standing barefoot in sand We are all just Angels in Amsterdam

Re: Angels in Amsterdam - Song lyrics
Very nice! It's a very good song, I can imagine it being done in a semi-happy, catchy style. Might be way off what you meant, but I still realy like it. Also, I love the title
Edit: It's very 90's era The Cure to me actually
