Dumb winter poem I was forced to write
I had to write something to submit to a random contest for English class, and so I wrote this retarded poem about winter. Please comment. If it's as terrible as I think it is, give me some help. I hate writing this kind of stuff, so it's not going to be pretty. If you have a weak stomach, I advise turning back now, before your keyboard has digestive juices all over it.
Quiet All is silent Muffled by layers of half-frozen water The sky is gray As if made of concrete Threatening to fall if anyone but whispers The ground is white Soft, glistening snow So comforting, yet so cruel My face stings and tingles My gloved fingers feel nothing My nose a bright red like Rudolph's My cheeks a light pink as if I'm blushing Thump, thump Boots trudge along the street Leaving their unique marks To prove I was there The smell of a fireplace So oddly delicious My nostrils welcome it Like the smell of peach cobbler Hot chocolate I can feel the burning sensation As the imaginary chocolate liquid Swirls in my mouth Is it winter already? If you listen hard enough You can hear the snowflakes answer

Re: Dumb winter poem I was forced to write
I thought that was a good poem Hylian Lemon! I enjoyed the description of winter, the concrete sky that is going to fall at a whisper. The 'half frozen water' all made reading it very enjoyable! I also enjoyed the last three lines:
