Writers Block!!!! Need insperation.

Urgh!!!!! I don't know what to write! I have a sudden urge to write a story but I don't know what to do.

I sort of have a problem when it comes to writing my stories. I'll come up with a really cool idea for a book and I'll start writing like crazy but then I get stuck because I don't know how I should end it or I have some other plot hole. I've only ever finished two complete stories before, but I have like 17 or 18 of them rotting away on my computer.

I need some insperation. What do you guys do when you need that little boost of imagination?

Try writing small quotes and sentences from books. Simple and easy things. Try some reading and then make your own twist to what you have read.

And then I mean with a PEN.

What do I do? Probably not the best idea, but I wait. Sooner or later I'll randomly have an idea, etc. The problem with that technique is it takes a while. Lol. So I'd advise against it. I'm lazy, it takes me forever to do stuff.

Listen to your favourite videogame music. Makes me want to write an awsome story, but I suck and can't! ^^

That's what I do to draw! I suck at writing, but I can read poems to gain inspiration.

Sometimes if you read poems, you might find one that matches you or your mood. I read poems that had werewolves and went on a drawing frenzy... It works!

Sometimes if the feeling is gone, you shouldn't try to force it back in... If I were you I would concentrate on one story at a time, and only write another one when you're finished.

I get the same problem. I think of an amazing idea but then I cant get na ending. I end up changing it but then I stop and do something else.

Same with drawing apart from I draw alot so the inperation it sort of inside me already.

Usually e-mails from my Aunt helps or when I talk about writing with other people. The best thing though is when I see a really good movie, video game, or read an excellent book.

Thanks for all the great advice. I think that, slowly but surely, my writers block is going away. I have a pretty good idea for a story and I'm going to work hard at this one until it's finished. I'm also trying to do it the proper way by writing an outline first, that way I won't get side tracked.

You could also look for help in the Writer's Council -- there was a person in there w/ writer's block like, yesturday. Yeah, it's a good idea to have an outline -- then you KNOW where you want to go, instead of just adding chapter after meaningless chapter. Good luck!
