Bah, I suppose I shall open up yet another thread for my silly little ditties. Enjoy.

When Nothing Matters

The lights flicker
And threaten to fade
Just like your hope.

With time to think
Of the actions committed
When things were looking
Up.

To those, we say nay
For nothing truly matters
If done without thought
Or reason.

Punishment for your deeds
Shall not go unhindered.
Stride through the dark
And face it with reverence.

For nothing truly matters
If done without thought
Or reason.

Shall it be sensible?
Shall it be for a purpose?
Shall the lights of infinity
Shine down upon the scene
Of which you stand
And believe?

Nay.
They shall not.
For if one fell deed
Is awakened
The light cannot shine
Lest you pay for your treason.

So face your fears
Take the beating
Let your thoughts control
Your actions
And face the price
That you must pay.

For if not for that price …

Then nothing truly matters
If done without thought
Or reason.

Nice poetry, i personally don't like it that much down to my English teacher stuffing it down my throat all day but no i'm really beggining to like it

Beautiful! I really enjoyed reading this. I love your style; it's the kind I have a penchant for. The concept was very nice; I had to read the poem fast because my time is limited, but I must peruse it a second time; it's too good to speed through and leave. Great job bloodsword! Really awsome stuff. Nice to see your doing some more poetry again. I dont know why, but what you wrote just then really made me think. I actually, out of all the ones you wrote before, like this one the most. It was really hard for me to understand, because im not good at analyzing, but I like em better that way. Great job. I wish i was as good with words. But i can barely spell.
