Re: [Pods] Your feedback's ... FEEDBACK!

First pod cast... Number 3. In my opinion it sucks... And I've only listen to the first 15 minutes of it, and I quit after that. There are two reasons why people come here, Zelda, and the community aspect. I'm pretty sure no one cares about the "noob of the month" Or some hillbilly wanna be that you can't understand 75% of the words coming out of his mouth.

Now seeing as there are two aspects people come here for, those should be the two aspects you should focus on. Zelda, and the community. But the community aspect is a large, large aspect, and would probably encompass much of the time. But how? Simple, you go through your forum, find the regulars in there little community (i.e. theorizing, spriting/comics, RPing, etc.), out of the regulars you find a person to be the spokes person. Interview them, for that particular part of the forum.

As for the Zelda aspect, well news would be nice. Seeing as how I get all my Zelda news from here instead of a gaming site, first, or at all. Or you can take a certain game, give tips, tricks or even cheats for it.

Now, I'm not tryin to bash the hillbilly wanna be for his bad attempt, but I'm sayin give the fans what they want, no B.S. about stupid things. I come here regularly to make sure I get all the Zelda news I can get. I've posted on the forums, I love the site. But come on, this has got to be the lamest aspects of the site, besides the lack of Phantom Hourglass information.

Loyal fan of the site.

Sad faaaaace.

He kiiinda has a point, though. The podcast is out of the loop for non forum regulars. It could use more Zelda to appeal to more people.

I suppose that's something Anime_Queen will have to think over.

Re: [Pods] Your feedback's ... FEEDBACK!

Due to reading too many "I'm going to pretend I'm a liberal New York times Editor commenting on something that personally offended me" posts to make the poster sound smarterer, I glazed over the stupid parts of Link_86_1's posts and got down to his real point: More Zelda, less community. However, he wasn't hear for the launch, and didn't know it was a community podcast. While the idea of having a bit more Zelda sounded more appealing towards non-community members like I said in my last post... I don't think the opinion of this guy should change anything... being that he only listened to a few minutes of it.

In fact, it's his fault that he's not a more noticeable presences in the community, so it's clearly his fault his defensive and angry personality didn't enjoy it.

I would suggest he lighten up and try to enjoy the podcast, instead of looking for something to insult... oor continue reading the Zelda news he gathers from the Site updates.

Don't let him get to you Asia... he is...well..I already said what he was above.

Re: [Pods] Your feedback's ... FEEDBACK!

I'm fairly sure his "hillbilly" bit was referring to Cody's ramble, not to Nostil.

Re: [Pods] Your feedback's ... FEEDBACK!

Calm down, Asia, I'm the hillbilly, not some guest. And it was what I was going for, anyway P:

Link_86_1, as site staff, I do sympathize with this as a major problem. Many people come to a Zelda site to hear about Zelda, so they are expecting to find some Zelda content. I'm working on a solution as we speak, and if there is any major progress I will update you on it.

Re: [Pods] Your feedback's ... FEEDBACK!

*sighs and shakes her head*

I really should never post when I am feeling angry
And all the hillbilly comment thing was with regard to a segment that was only a minute long out of an hour and a half cast? If it was, indeed, meant regarding Cody?

Aniday - I don;'t preTENd to get offended, my dear sir. Perhaps it hasn't become apparent to you yet, but there are people I care about and I never accept that they be mistreated or spoken of with such disrespect. An unwise kind of stance? perhaps, but it is 100% authentic.

I apologise for my harshness, I had written it in a state of anger.

To summarise points I'd made above in a coherent manner:

- Yes, perhaps the way I'd organised the Cast - as in, what comes first etc etc is downright wrong. I should favour the Zelda/gaming aspects of the Cast and should perhaps push casual gamer and any zelda talking points to the fORe of the cast to appease the members who're just hearing it for the zelda part. THEN tell them that now we'll be concentrating on the community and they can walk off if they want to. Ratherthan make them wait an hour to get to the one part they're interested in.

- As for more zelda content - I already said and repeated that we have never claimed that it was going to be a "Zelda" podcast. Never ever. I apologise thoroughly if you had the wrong impression, but it is so. However, as Cody stated above, we are looking into what we can do for you and all zelda fans out there with that regard.

and it's time for my morning coffee.
(EDIT - I was under the impression that hillbilly meant "an insane idiot" >.< )

I <3 you Asia and wouldn't talk to you like that, ever =<. I meant HE was prentending to be a liberal New York Times editor who was commenting on something that personally offended him.

A hillbilly is a person in the eastern part of the US who talks in a southern accent and lives in the hills very secluded. They are generally uneducated and don't know much of the outside world. Google it lol

um... you need to listen further. did you even look at or listen to the rundown f the thing that were included in the cast? we've got LOADS of community stuff. plus, closer to the end there's the community news. you gotta listen for more than 15 minutes. of course, if you don't want to listen to the whole thing, right here in this forum you can just listen to certain parts on their own, like the news or whateve. and cody's rant is ONE MINUTE and thirty seconds. out of a n hour and a half. geez, we're just having a little silly fun!

Re: [Pods] Your feedback's ... FEEDBACK!

Yes, it was the Cody's rant I was refering to about the hillbilly aspect. I never meant to offend anyone. When I heard that ZU was getting into the pod cast, I was kinda interested. Tried to listen to the first one, but couldn't, for some reason. Must've missed the announcement for the second one, and I listened to the third one.

The fact that I only listened to the first 15 minutes of it, and was fed up with it, should tell you something. Something isn't right. And hey, maybe I'm the only one with this sorta attitude to actually express it. Or maybe it's just me.

I know that a lot of work went into making this, but to defend it like it's the holy grail, kinda isn't right. When all I'm doing is giving some feed back, which is what you guys want, at least that's what the title of the thread is called.

And no, I'm not "defensive and angry" about it. I'm merely stating my opinion, because this is the FEEDBACK forum. Unless I'm wrong...
