Ferret's Freeverse & Other Poetic Escapades
So yeah, I write poetry. It's not very good, but nonetheless, I'd like to share it with you. Comments are appreciated.
Running Man Terrified of his own damnation, He ran, fast, far, away. A rope of guilt embraced His waist Pulling him from the nothing He made. Running man, the road ahead, No challenge for a survivor. The Creationist Rocky fingers Wrapped around his favourite Conan Doyle He sighed, breathed heavily, To nobody, nobody was there, But he could see them in the fireplace, Their faces burned amber. He did not rest on the Sabbath, He could not, it was beyond him. His mind ever churning With what lay next. Again, he sighed, “God”, he whispered, To himself, this time. Beyond the extent of the darkness He saw the flames, And in them, their faces. By Car To Saint Andrews Beauty settles on the landscape Like particles of something magical. Green lines Streak by my face. And among the heather That perches expectantly Upon the Celtic rocks Is the notion of home, The feeling, the spirit. In this Scotland Is no Saltire Or Lion. There need not be. There is only the land And its beauty. The town of the patron saint, Andrew, Is but ten miles away. The eagle scouts near cirrostratus. The Curator Stung by the sunrise, The empty room is filled, Slowly, gently, with care by each hour. The Gorky’s hang like Gorky hung, The early works, Among Gaugin and Redon. The curator fills a space, A space reserved for the analytical. He sees the plethora of hues. He sees the lashings of wild imagination That scar canvas. The purpose of every stroke Never leaves him, The wider ideal Never escapes him. The silver lining supports it all, The ideal is stronger than the image, The image is stronger than the frame. |

Oh goodie, some poetry! *gets ready to pounce*
Your writing has a very... elevated feel about it. o: It's your choice of language. And it's something I'm able to read and enjoy. :3 Your writing gives a nice amount of detail to interest the reader. Yet not the point where we're overloaded with words that we don't understand that it starts leaking out of our ears since we can't fit it all into our heads at once. So yes! Your poetry is something that I find nice and calming to read. I'd like to see more, too. c:

I absolutely love "By Car to Saint Andrews" It displays the level of fleeting ideas, as if it can be seen like a symbolic music video. "The Curator" is your most complex one. You're a grand writer~ Write more please, it rocks.
