Poems From Me
Poem 1
Eden for naught Search not for Eden my brothers, Search not for Shangri-La. For they are hidden from our sight, As sinners look to Ra. Instead fulfill your lives, And at the end of those, Look out at the country side, For simple Thanatos. He'll take you by the hand, And lead you to your fate, Be it heaven, hell or in between, He never makes mistakes. So stall your search for Paradise Gamble not your soul, For, tomorrow, all will be reviled, And together, we'll be whole. I'm sorry if it's short and if it's confusing. I'll gladly explain anything that needs to be. |

Re: Poems From Me
Goody goody another.
Olympus Is Lost-Part 1: Prometheus "And from the ashes of Olympus Whose ruin was dire, Rose mighty Prometheus The Titan of fire. Where ever he steps, fields light ablaze, And with a wave of his hand, Night turns to day, In an exploding glory, of Promethean flame. And so he set out, To free his brothers, Who were hidden in prisons, Inside of his mother. But he had to move quickly, Lest the god's see, That he destroyed Olympus, In order to be free, From his chains of torment, and Eagle's sharp beak. once again, if you have trouble understanding it, I'll gladly explain. This is the first in an on-going series. |

Re: Poems From Me
Oooh, Classical studies references. I love Classics. :3 I like how you have a theme to your poems, it's like you're telling a story. I've personally had trouble doing that myself. My writing goes.. all over the place. So yes, good work, mate. c:

Re: Poems From Me
Thanks! and now I have another piece.
Olympus is Lost-Part 2: Transformation. So Prometheus walked, Like any giant does, And the villagers gawked, To see what he was. And how did this come to pass, A flaming beast from a man? Prometheus had escaped From eagle's beak and torment, And then began his mountainous decent, To Olympus's golden gates. In order to go to earth, he had to give his form, And be reborn Within a fiery shell. And so Olympus was destroyed, Inside a blazing inferno. Prometheus continued onward, O'er mountains and through fields, And did not stop going forward, Till Typhon's prison did yield. |

Re: Poems From Me
New piece
Olympus is Lost-Part 3: Cerberus And they did watch, Those Olympian gods, From Hades's dark latch, As Prometheus continued on. And Zeus did turn to his brother and say, "Hades, my brother, My friend come near, I have a request like no other, One that you must hear. I request that Cerberus, that earthreal hound, That guardian of your dark gates, Be released from his chains, to do our bidding again, And to stop the Promethean ape." and hades did ponder this request and say, "Release the hound, From chains and collar, So it may search above ground, And search for the Titan, So the day might lighten, And your home, you again, must rebuild." And so it was settled. Cerberus was loosed, On the world above, Going about it's duty, And it's duty, it did love. It tracked the giant, From Olympus to Athens, Where forests were burnt, And houses left ashen. It went north To the mountains, When it saw a sight, that made it hard to remain. A trail of fire leading to the mountains, Where the second Titan was already awake. Ta-Da!!!! |

Re: Poems From Me
Numbah 4
Olympus is Lost-Part 4: Typhon Typhon, the Titan of Wind, The youngest son of Gaea, the many headed serpent, Abomination of Rhea. He raised his head, Sunlight glimmering, He tested his strength, Sunlight shimmering. "Freedom," he said "Is what I have lusted for, Waiting many long years, for an open door." "And what have we here? the hound of Hades has come near, To be hunted like a deer, Oh, my brother, you plan is clear." So Typhon sent a jarring gust, At might Cerberus, Who, while recovering, was devoured, In a single headlong thrust. And Typhon caught up with his brother, So, together, they may find, Atlas and his prison, Suspended within time. |

Re: Poems From Me
I don't have any other way of showing people how I see things or what I see, so here goes nothin.
My Mind. When I close my eyes What do I see? An endless darkness swallowing me. It's peaceful at first falling down, But that was at first, then came the sound. It quietly came with no warning or sign just a whisper at first the passing of time But it became louder til i couldn't hear So unbearably loud I cover my ears They're screaming at me! I don't know who They're very angry angry at you! I spoke to you in whispered tones so no one could hear i hope know one knows. I spoke of my dreams and what they meant I spoke of the faces and of my end. you laughed at me said I was lying You got up and left And now I am dying. Dying to know who are they? why me? why today? They laugh like you did saying that you are a problem They say you have to die and I don't blame them. I see their point their heartless ache I take their hand and then I awake. But it is not me When I rise It's them and through their eyes I spy Seven Shadows of all size "Step into the light" I call Much to my surprise. I see seven demons creatures from hell they advance towards me Like a storm wave swells Then I cry "this is the end" "Nay," they say "We have yet to begin" when they grab me i cannot see but I can feel them their hands, and claws, and teeth. When i suddenly hear "Josh! Time to wake up!!" I open my eyes. It has only just begun. |
