Nintendo opens official eBay store

It can be pretty frustrating when stock runs out at retailers like Amazon for Nintendo goods. Thankfully, it looks like we now have a new alternative when hunting down Nintendo hardware, as the company have now opened their own official shop on popular auction site eBay.

Nintendo icons Mario, Donkey Kong and Link are all displayed at the top of their profile page, so we can probably expect to see some Zelda goods at some point. At the time of writing, Nintendo doesn’t appear to have any products up for sale right now. I’d guess they’re still building up stock and working things out for their new distributor, so it could be worth checking back later.

Looking at the feedback page, so far it looks like the company has mainly been selling hardware: Wii Remotes, Wii U consoles, various 3DS systems, and so on. As I imagine the case is for most people, I’m most curious to see if Nintendo will be selling Amiibo figures via eBay, as that might hopefully give collectors of the elusive toys another well-needed means of acquiring them. Fingers crossed!
