New 3DS details: Enhanced internet browsing features, AC adaptor not included

Just when we thought we’d learned everything there is to know about the New 3DS in our previous comprehensive coverage, a few more interesting details have surfaced on the system.

Nintendo Everything managed to pull and translate some information from the official Japanese New 3DS website. The internet browser allows users to switch between tabs with the new ZL and ZR buttons, and you can zoom in with the C-stick.

We previously reported that the 3D display is improved as the system’s camera detects the user’s face (and therefore, the angle at which the player is looking at the device). We now know that this may not work properly if the player has accessories on their head, or if there is strong light shining at the camera.

As for what you get in the box, the New 3DS comes with a 4GB Micro SDHC card, as well as a “strap hook” close to the ZR button. As for what it won’t have, an AC adaptor will not come packaged with the system. It should be noted that we only know that this applies to the Japanese New 3DS, and this may not be the case in other territories.

You can find out much more on the New 3DS in our introductory guide, plus you can also check out the many customisable faceplates that will be available for the system.
