Hideo Kojima wants Snake back in Smash Bros., though doesn’t believe it’s likely

“Kept you waiting, huh?” Seems like we might be waiting forever for our gravelly voiced stealth-action hero to return to Nintendo’s all-star fighting franchise, as Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima revealed in a Twitch Q&A that he believes Solid Snake is unlikely to appear in Super Smash Bros. 4.

“I’m not working on that game so I don’t know, but I don’t think that’s likely.”

However, if he could make that call, he seems to be highly in favour of it.

“Well if Mr. Sakurai is watching this, please use Snake.”

Considering Kojima doesn’t even know himself at this point, I would agree that, unfortunately, it seems unlikely. Unless that’s just the nanomachines talking and he’s keeping things secret, Patriots-style. Come on, Sakurai — Snake vs. Mega Man match-ups need to happen!
