The Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) charity speedrunning marathon is fast approaching, and the games list is finalized. The event will be held June 30 through July 6, 2024 and will be streamed live online from Minneapolis, MN to raise funds for charity. A variety of activities will be held onsite simultaneously during the livestream for in-person attendees which include a room for tabletop games and an escape room. The recipient of donations is not announced at the time of this article, though it is likely that more information will become available as time marches closer to the marathon.
The illustrious Zelda CDI-like game Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore appears for the first time on the game schedule this year, slated for July 4th. Speedruns for A Link to the Past and Twilight Princess will later commence on July 5th, as well as a possible Ocarina of Time Defeat Ganon No SRM bonus run. No other Zelda games are currently on the schedule, however, which is a surprising difference compared to past SGDQ events.

Content creators have the opportunity to showcase their work as giveaway prizes during the SGQD event by completing the Prize Submission form on the Qames Done Quick website by June 16th. The Prize Submission Guidelines which include what’s accepted as a giveaway prize can be found here.
