Yahaha! You found… Eiji Aonuma and Shigeru Miyamoto? No, this not a Korok. It’s not an internet joke, either. Last week a video reel from Instagram made its rounds across the internet from Universal Studios Japan. The video included screenshots of Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma in hard hats standing side by side. They were apparently standing together with construction workers in a brief moment when Karen Irwin, the President and COO of Universal Studios Japan, started talking in the video. Many Zelda fans surmised that Aonuma’s presence might indicate that a Legend of Zelda attraction may be coming to the park, but no comment from Nintendo or Universal Studios has been made at this time. Universal Studios later retracted the video on January 25.

Is this a sign that a Legend of Zelda attraction is coming soon to the park? It’s pure speculation at this point. However, the fact that Universal Studios took down the video shortly after its reception does raise some eyebrows. It could be nothing, it could be something. Aonuma is certainly connected to the Zelda franchise, but it’s possible he could simply be present to collaborate as a trusted confidante with his fellow Nintendo peers. But what we do know is, a Donkey Kong attraction is currently being constructed for sure, and Nintendo has several franchises they can no doubt utilize for Universal parks in the future. Stay tuned as we keep you posted on all things Zelda!
