Every once in a while, a talented individual takes something that they love and turns it into something even better. Whether it be a piece of fan fiction that turns into a series for fans to love, or a fan-made video game that garners enough attention to eventually become a new entry for gamers to enjoy. These wonderful works of art are what truly inspire many to take what they love and put their own spin on it, often resulting into something that everyone can enjoy. That is the case with renowned YouTuber RwanLink and their latest fan made project, an animation based off of the popular Zelda title Ocarina of Time.
In this short teaser we get to see the art direction is based off of Studio Ghibli, as it shows off various characters around Castle Town, that Young Link is seen running around. It’s amazing the amount of detail put into this project, even down to Link running around with the little puppy, as well as the characters he meets such as Malon, from Lon Lon Ranch. The trailer is enough to make you want to see more when the full video is released on November 21st.
Many of us Zelda fans have waited for years for any kind of Zelda TV show or movie. It hasn’t been since the 80’s where we had The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros. Show, that we’ve gotten any kind of media, leaving fans such as RwanLink to pick up the slack and create it themselves. However, with the recent success of Nintendo’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie produced by Illumination, the hope is that we will see something similar with The Legend of Zelda soon. Fingers crossed but until then, let’s enjoy these beautiful works from these talented individuals such as RwanLink.
