Is it time for a new Direct already? It is! Nintendo has announced a 40 minute presentation for tomorrow, June 21, at 7am PST. All we know for sure is that the focus is on games for the back half of this year, with new details on Nintendo’s next big release: Pikmin 4.
What can we expect beyond that? There is no limit to our imagination, but the cold, grounded realist in us suspects we might see our first look at DLC for Tears of the Kingdom. If history repeats, it will be one big season pass announced, containing multiple types of content for release over the next year-ish. It may even be time for the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD titles to get ported over. Our head-in-the-clouds hope is that we see some fancy new 2D Zelda game, but let’s not hold our breath.
You might be thinking to yourself “I still haven’t beaten Tears of the Kingdom!” Well, unfortunately, times cruel march presses ever onward, whether we’re ready or not. So, wary viewers, be prepared: the content is coming.
