Jiosin Shrine: ‘Shape Rotation’

by on June 12, 2023

The Jiosin Shrine is one of the first Shrines you will encounter on the surface. It’s located in Hyrule Field south of Lookout Landing, next to the Hyrule Field Chasm.

The coordinates of the Shrine are -0240, -0370, 0027.

Shape Rotation

As the Shrine’s title suggests, the key to completing this Shrine is to rotate objects using the Ultrahand ability.

Once you’re inside the Shrine, you’ll see a room on the left-hand side of the chamber with a large “X” carved out of the wall. The doorway will take you into a room that holds a large piece of stone that, when looked at lengthways, will be in the shape of an “X.” Pick up the stone using Ultrahand and rotate it so when you line it up correctly it fits through the hole on the wall.

Once you move the object into the main chamber, carry it to the back of the room where you’ll find a lengthy gap between you and the next part of the shrine. Rotate the shape again and carefully position it over the gap, then let go of it. Now you can use it as a bridge to reach the innermost chamber.

There are two rooms in the next chamber. Go into the room on your right and you will find another oddly shaped object. Repeat the same step you used in the previous chamber and rotate the shape until you’re able to maneuver it through the gap in the wall.

When you have collected your treasure, jump back down and pick up the object with Ultrahand. Turn to the left, where there is another hole in the wall that leads to the monument. Rotate the stone horizontally so that it’s in a diamond shape and fits into the last hole in the wall. When you get into the final room, rotate the shape one last time so that, much like the last chamber, it fits snuggly against the wall and the existing step to create a staircase. Climb up the steps and talk to Rauru to collect your Light Orb and complete the Jiosin Shrine.
