As the barrage of Tears of the Kingdom marketing merchandise continues, it’s nice to know that other companies besides Nintendo are producing Switch accessories inspired by the game to help fill in preorder sell-out gaps. The Japanese company HORI has stepped into the ring with new Tears of the Kingdom themed merchandise so you can play your copy of the game in style.
HORI’s items that will be available include a foldable Switch play-stand, two different styles of carrying cases, a Tears of the Kingdom Split Pad Pro, and a more compact Tears of the Kingdom themed Split Pad Fit. It’s interesting to note that the play-stand can hold the Switch in two different ways, and while this orientation does not make any official gameplay suggestions, it does make us wonder if there will be any puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom that will compel us to play in this fashion.
From what we can tell, the pricing and availability is not announced at this time for these items. It is possible they will land on the market after May 12, but there are no confirmations as of yet. It is certainly worth keeping an eye on in the near future, as a HORI merchandise release in the United States is not ruled out.
