A new Expansion Pass for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct. No story or gameplay details were given during the Direct, but it was revealed that, much like the Expansion Pass for Breath of the Wild, this Expansion Pass will come in two waves.
Wave 1 will be available this June. This wave will include additions to the character roster, new weapon types, new challenges in the Royal Ancient Lab, and the appearance of new, harder enemies.
Wave 2 will come later in November of this year. The inclusions for this wave will be new character vignettes, new stages, more character additions, and new battle skills for existing characters.
Nintendo is also offering a purchase bonus for online preorders of the DLC. Preorders will be available on May 28, 2021. Anyone who preorders the Expansion Pass will receive both a new weapon and a new costume for Link.
