The numbers for sales related to gaming in the UK have been out for a while, but the broader picture has just been released. Nintendo claims the top spot in several categories.
In Europe, which includes UK and Ireland, mainland Europe, Middle East, and Africa, 211.9 million games were sold. Of those 211.9 million, Nintendo had a market share of over 28%, dominating the boxed games market. Switch sales jumped 22% across all of Europe. The Switch sold almost three times the PS4.
In the top 20 video games (digital and physical) list, Nintendo had five Switch exclusives (six if you count Minecraft: Switch Edition). You can check out the full list below.
