We’re all very excited for the eventual opening of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan, especially as the upcoming theme park expansion has been a long time coming. Super Nintendo World was supposed to open to the public just before the Tokyo 2020 Olympics but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, some more interesting news has surfaced on Twitter by user @GR_U_D, who shared an image of an executive holding a Super Nintendo World shopping bag. No one knows who this individual is, but Universal hasn’t been giving these bags out.
It is likely that they were given early access to Super Nintendo World, as it seems close to completion. Hopefully we’ll hear more about Nintendo and Universal’s collaboration soon as more public spaces are being reopened gradually.
Super Nintendo World is looking great, and if you haven’t seen the images that surfaced last month, it looks fantastic. There’s no news on anything Zelda related making its way to Universal, but the success of Mario could potentially influence future expansions.
