Michael Hudak shares his three Majora’s Mask experiences. What is yours?

Michael Hudak is a Zelda fan, video game music composer, and friend of Zelda Universe. When he shared his personal history with Majora’s Mask earlier this week, it made me reflect on my own history with the game, and I hope that sharing his story with everyone gives you all the same opportunity to remember what makes Majora’s Mask so special to our community.

As for me, Majora’s Mask was the very first video game I ever purchased on release day. Like Michael, I remember reading about Zelda Gaiden in Nintendo Power magazine. I was excited about Zelda 64 (which eventually became Ocarina of Time), but it was announced and in development before I truly began following the series closely. Majora’s Mask was the first Zelda game that I followed from start-to-finish.

If we fast forward to 2015, I was honored to be one of the first fans to play Majora’s Mask 3D at PAX South and then to review the game ahead of release.

We’re at the end of our Month of Majora, but our celebration of Majora’s Mask‘s 20th anniversary is only beginning.

What does Majora’s Mask mean to you?
