The release date for Animal Crossing New Horizons is exactly one month away, and Nintendo held a Direct today to give hopeful fans a little more information.
A new feature for the upcoming Switch title is the DIY Workshop, and spotted on the lineup of things to craft was an Ocarina. Nothing was said in the Direct about the Ocarina, so we don’t know yet if it’s functional or if it’s just something you can craft for decoration.
According to the Direct, you’ll be able to customize the color and design of the DIY furniture, so I’m curious to see if that applies to the Ocarina. The one shown in the Direct looks more like either the Ocarina from Link’s Awakening or Ocarina of Time‘s Fairy Ocarina, but it would be neat to make it blue like the Ocarina of Time.
This isn’t the first instance of Zelda gear in an Animal Crossing game. Animal Crossing New Leaf featured items from all over the Zelda series including the Triforce, Master Sword, Majora’s Mask, Midna’s Mask, and the Hero Outfit.
