Good thing you did.
There's lots of friendly people here.
In fact, I heard this site is one of the more friendlier ones out there, compared to other Zelda sites.

As long as you're nice...lots of people will want to be buddies with you.

I noticed that i lot of other zelda sites are not as active as this one, so i guess it's all the mean people scared people away lol!
