Adoption Center

Your attention, please! This is the new Adoption Center. Not much has changed from the old one, except the fact that you now have to be approved before adopting. All those adopting in the old thread can of course keep their newbies, but from now on, those that want to adopt have to send me a PM. Check the rules for more information on that. You only have to do it once, unless something unexpected happens (like for instance, you get more than 1 warning). This is to make sure the adopters know what they’re getting into. Those that have adopted before needs to send me this PM as well.


For all you new members:
Adoption is about gaining a friend and guardian. Your adopter will help you out when you're in trouble, give you advice on how to act on the boards and be a good friend overall. Trust your adopter, listen to what he/she tells you and follow the advices you're given. If you find yourself in trouble and don’t know what to do, just talk to your adopter. If you feel wrongfully accused of breaking the rules, ask your adopter for support.

For those interested in becoming adopters;
Are you able to be online and answer whatever questions your newbie might have, and that in a friendly way?
Can you keep a friendly tone even if your newbie doesn't understand the first times and needs more help?
Will you protect your newbie if it gets in trouble, no matter what? And can you set a good example for your newb?

~ Adoptees ~

• Member from 1 day to 2 months
• Request to be adopted here and tell a bit about yourself
  

~ Adopters ~

• Member for at least 3 full months.
• Minimum of 300 posts.
• You may only adopt if you have one warning or less.
• In order to adopt, send me a PM where you explain why you want to be an adopter and why you think you’re suited for it. Name the PM “Why I want to adopt”.
• Once I receive the PM, I will look it through. If I find you suited for adoption (this is also judged by earlier posts), you can go ahead and adopt.
• If I for some reason think you are not suited for adoption, I will let you know why, so you can change and maybe be able to adopt later.
• You’re only able to adopt one newb every two weeks.
• Guard your newbie, help him/her out and be a good parent.

• When you want to be adopted, say so in this thread.
• When you have been approved of adopting, say so in this thread.
• When you want to show that you're still available for Adoption/Adopting, you might, in some cases, post in this thread.
• When you feel that your newb is ready to take on the world of ZU on its own, say so in this thread

• When you want to talk to someone in this thread, use PM.

To answer all questions, if you want to be able to adopt, send me a PM explaining why. It's not hard to be approved.
If you don't send me a PM, you cannot adopt.

errr, i dunno if i want to be adopted anymore, i feel like i've been here a loooong time, and i think i know my way around, so is there anything i have to do to get off the adoption list?

Hmm, well, if you don't want to be adopted anymore, that's your decision. You haven't been here that long..and adoption is also about gaining a new friend. But if you don't want to, no one forces you. Just tell skate_mate you don't need his help.

I'm 15, I like to skate(board), play Bass guitar, hang out on ZU, play GCN and eat ^.^

Well, I guess I am still up for adoption since the guy that was going to adopt me is "out of ZU" for a couple of months...

Anyway.... I am a Guy, soon to be 16. I like Games (Board and Computer), Computers, RPG, Girls, Movies, Zelda and "Total Eclipse of the Heart"....

I'll adopt you Trikster. I am 15, 16 on March 24. I like video games, zelda, FF(kinda obvious), girls(my g/f gets mad when I see one though), Anime and a lot more stuff.
